Japan's Job-to-Applicant Ratio Slips in May |

(CEP News) - Japan's total job-to-applicant ratio slipped to .92 in May, a decline from April's 0.93 reading, according to Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. This is the sixth consecutive month that the jobs-to-applicant ratio has fallen.
Total applicants grew on a monthly basis by 2.3% in May while job offers rose by 1.7%, up from April's 0.7% drop. New applicants increased by 3.2% in May, up from the 0.5% decline seen in April. New job offers grew by 0.9% in May, down from April's 4.4% increase. Job offers declined 15.6% in May year-over-year figures, a steeper drop from the 14.4% decline in April year-over-year figures.
