Taiwanese Central Bank Hikes Rates as Expected |

(CEP News) - As expected, the Taiwanese central bank hiked its main interest rate by 12.5 basis points to 3.625% on Thursday morning - its highest level in seven years - in an effort to cool inflation pressures.
In October, annual headline CPI peaked at 5.33% before retracing to 3.71% in May, while first-quarter GDP came in at 6.06%. By Erik Kevin Franco,
