(CEP News) - Australia's retail sales trend figure increased by 0.2% in October, above expectations for a 0.1% increase and matching September's 0.2% month-over-month rise.
The report was released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday morning (Monday night EST). The seasonally adjusted retail sales figure for October grew by 0.7% month-over-month, against September's upwardly revised 1.0% decrease and above expectations for a 0.2% drop. The details of the report revealed food retailing and other retailing saw the biggest increases, up by 0.6% and 0.8%, respectively.
