Australian Leading Indicator Declines in February |

(CEP News) - According to data from the New York-based Conference Board, Australia's leading indicators index declined to a reading of 184.8 in February, translating into a 0.2% month-over-month fall.
In January, the index fell by 0.5% compared to preliminary estimates of a 0.3% pullback. Leading the declines were decreases in building approvals (-0.2%) and share prices (-0.06%). The Conference Board also saw increases in M3 money supply (+0.14%) and exports of rural goods (+0.1%). The Conference Board's coincident index rose 0.1% month-over-month in February after remaining unchanged in the previous month. Declines were felt in retail trade (-0.07%), industrial production (-0.01%) and disposable income (-0.02%), while persons employed improved by 0.17%. By Erik Kevin Franco,
