(CEP News) - European markets will focus on PMI data as Germany, France, the UK and euro zone are all scheduled to release their respective indexes.
First up on Wednesday is the Italian services purchasing managers index. Prior to the release, expectations are for the PMI to fall further in November to 43.4 from October's near-record low of 45.7. Up next are final French services PMI data for the month of November. The consensus forecasts the index to remain unchanged at 46.6. German and euro zone services PMI data will follow. No revisions are expected to the preliminary estimates. The German services PMI is projected to remain at 46.2, while the euro zone PMI is expected to remain at 43.3. UK markets will also receive November's PMI services report, with economists looking for a decline. The consensus is for a reading of 41.2 following October's level of 42.4. Euro zone retail sales for October are also on the docket, expected to decline 0.4% from September to October, adding to the 0.2% fall in the previous month. On an annualized basis, retail sales levels in the monetary union are forecast to have declined 1.5% in October following September's 1.6% contraction.
