Anchoring Inflation Expectations Key for Central Bank, Says ECB's Liikanen |

(CEP News) Frankfurt - European Central Bank Governing Council member Erkki Liikanen said that it was essential for the ECB to keep inflation expectations anchored and to guarantee no second-round inflation effects.
He also stated that the ECB was helping growth by controlling inflation. Liikanen, also the Governor of the Bank of Finland, suggested that the euro zone economy was likely to slow in the second quarter of 2008 and that risks to financial markets still existed. By Todd Wailoo,
