(CEP News) - German inflation was confirmed to have fallen to its lowest level in nearly 10 years in March, according to a report from the German statistics authority Destatis on Thursday.
In line with preliminary findings, March CPI declined 0.1% month-over-month, bringing the annual inflation rate to 0.5%. In February, CPI inflation rose 0.6% on the month and 1.0% compared to the previous year. The report also confirmed that HICP fell 0.2% month-over-month resulting in an annual inflation rate of 0.4%. HICP rose 0.7% month-over-month in February and 1.0% year-over-year. Economists were expecting no revisions to the preliminary reports. By Erik Kevin Franco,
