(CEP News) Frankfurt - The German services sector showed some signs of improvement in December, as the services purchasing managers index was revised up to 46.6 in December from the preliminary estimate of 46.4, according to Markit Economics.
Economists had expected no change to the initial estimate, which had indicated a rebound from November's decline to 45.1. In a report issued on Tuesday, the economic research firm noted that while the PMI was revised upwards, a number of components worsened in December, including new business, which had slipped to its lowest level in over five years. The euro is currently trading down 1.587% at 1.3417 USD Written by CEP News European Staff in Frankfurt,
