(CEP News) Frankfurt - The Swiss Schweizerischer Verband fĂĽr Materialwirtschaft und Einkauf (SVME) purchasing managers index rebounded to 36.9 in December after tumbling all the way to 35.2 in the prior month, Credit Suisse reported on Monday.
Disaggregating the data, Credit Suisse noted recoveries in a number of PMI components, including the output category, which rose to 38.6 from 27.7 in November, orders backlogs, which rebounded to 30.2 in December from November's 29.9 level, and quantity of purchases, which rose from 26.1 to 30.5.
