(CEP News) London - UK's average quoted mortgage rates for April increased across the board, according to figures published on the Bank of England's website on Monday.
It states that two-year fixed rates for loan-to-value UK mortgages with 5% deposit rose to 6.94% by April-end from 6.6% in March, the highest rate of appreciation since February 2000. Concurrently, conditions for borrowers able to contribute towards a larger initial deposit also tightened, with two-year fixed rates for 75% loan-to-value mortgages rising to 6.08% in April from 5.8% in March.
