UK Construction PMI Falls to 11-Year Low in June |

(CEP News) Frankfurt - According to data released by Markit Economics on Wednesday, the UK purchasing managers' index for construction fell to 38.8 in June, lower than both the previous month's 43.9 reading and the 43.1 figure expected. June's PMI figure marks the lowest reading in more than 11 years.
Looking at the various components of the index, new orders and employment were in contraction territory with readings of 43.5 and 47.8 respectively. However, new business activity remained strong with a reading of 57.8 in June. The input prices component rose to its highest recorded level of 81.5 from 72.6 in May. By Todd Wailoo,
