UK Construction PMI Tumbles to Record Low in November |

(CEP News) Frankfurt - The UK construction purchasing managers index surprised to the downside in November, falling to a record low 31.8, Markit Economics reported on Tuesday. Economists had expected a more modest fall to 33.5 from October's 35.1 level.
Disaggregating the data, the research firm indicated that the most pronounced falls were in the employment component, which slipped to 31.2 from October's 40.9 level, and input prices, which lost 13.1 points and fell to 44.7 for the month. Written by CEP News European Staff in Frankfurt,
