(CEP News) - Confidence among UK consumers rose for the third straight month in April, according to the latest consumer survey report from the GFK Group.
According to the report, consumer confidence in the UK improved slightly more than expected in April rising three points to -27. Economists had been expecting a -28 reading. The index for future finances moved three points higher to a reading of -3 while economic confidence for the next 12 months spiked to -51 from -31 in March. The UK consumer confidence survey results were compiled from the responses of approximately 2,000 individuals over the age of 16. The survey was conducted on behalf of the European Commission.
