(CEP News) - European equity markets are trading higher and European bonds are also rallying.
In equity markets, the Eurostoxx up 21.82 points on the day. In Germany, the bund was up 23.0 ticks to 113.41 with yields down 0.4 bps to 4.20% while the 10-year gilt was up 34.0 ticks to 107.45 with yields down 4.5 bps to 4.80%. The euro was up 0.49 cents to 1.5497 USD. The five-year Bobl was up 7.0 ticks to 108.10 , the two-year Schatz up 0.5 ticks to 103.39 and the June 2008 Euribor contract trading flat at 95.23. The spread between the 10-year Bund and 10-year U.S. Treasury notes widened 2.471 bps to -36.00 . Yields on the UK's 30-year bond were down 4.5 bps to 4.52%, the five-year bond down 3.3 bps to 4.60 % and the two-year bond down 3.6 bps to 4.73%.
