Treasury's Kimmitt Says U.S. Fundamentals Remain Strong in Long Term |

(CEP News) - Speaking in Berlin, Germany, U.S. Deputy Treasury Secretary Robert Kimmitt said that while the U.S. economy is going through a rough patch, he nevertheless remains confident in the country's long-term economic fundamentals.
The policy-maker said that while additional regulation in the financial markets could be helpful, it is important to not overreact. Kimmitt also said that he does not believe speculation is having a significant impact on commodity prices. By Erik Kevin Franco,
