U.S. Trade Deficit Narrows More than Expected in March |

(CEP News) - The U.S. monthly trade deficit narrowed more than expected in March to $58.21 billion, with February's deficit downwardly revised to $61.7 billion from a previously reported $62.3 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau reported Friday.
Economists had been expecting a deficit of $61.4 billion. March's total exports of goods and services came in at $148.51 billion, down from $151.19 billion in the prior month, while imports came in at $206.72 billion, down from $212.81 billion in the prior month. The goods deficit narrowed to $68.604 billion in March from February's $72.091 billion while the services surplus increased to $10.394 billion from $10.378 billion.
