EUR/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0457; (P) 1.0487; (R1) 1.0516; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/CHF stays mildly on the upside at this point. Sustained break of 100% projection of 0.9970 to 1.0086 from 1.0400 at 1.0516 and 1.0505 will carry larger bullish implications. Next near term target will be 161.8% projection at 1.0782. On the downside, below 1.0400 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.0505 support turned resistance (2020 low) holds, long term down trend from 1.2004 (2018 high) is expected to continue. Next target is 100% projection of 1.2004 to 1.0505 to 1.1149 at 0.9650. However, firm break of 1.0505 will suggest medium term bottoming, and bring stronger rebound towards 1.1149 structural resistance.

EUR/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1088; (P) 1.1107; (R1) 1.1136; More…

EUR/CHF recovers higher today as correction from 1.1056 extends. Intraday bias remains neutral first. Upside should be limited below 1.1264 resistance to bring further decline. On the downside, break of 1.1056 will resume the larger down trend for 61.8% projection of 1.2004 to 1.1173 from 1.1476 at 1.0962 next.

In the bigger picture, current development firstly suggests that down trend from 1.2004 is still in progress. More importantly, it’s likely a long term down trend itself, rather than a correction. Outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.1476 resistance holds. EUR/CHF could target 1.0629 support and below.

EUR/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0965; (P) 1.0982; (R1) 1.1004; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/CHF remains on the upside for the moment. Decisive break of 1.0999 medium resistance will target 61.8% projection of 1.0652 to 1.0986 from 1.0830 at 1.1036 next. On the downside, break of 1.0936 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will remain bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, the price actions from 1.1198 are seen as a corrective move. Such correction could have completed after defending 38.2% retracement of 0.9771 to 1.1198 at 1.0653. Decisive break of 1.0999 resistance will target a test on 1.1198 high. For now, this will be the preferred case as long as 1.0830 support holds.

EUR/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9691; (P) 0.9703; (R1) 0.9716; More

Range trading continues in EUR/CHF and intraday bias stays neutral first. On the upside, firm break of 0.9760 should confirm short term bottoming after hitting 61.8% retracement of 0.9407 to 1.0095 at 0.9670. Intraday bias will be back on the upside for 0.9878 resistance next. However, sustained break of 0.9670 will extend the whole decline from 1.0095 towards 0.9407 low instead.

In the bigger picture, prior rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.1149 to 0.9407 at 1.0072 suggests that medium term outlook is staying bearish. The pair is also capped below 55 W EMA (now at 0.9938). Down trend from 1.2004 (2018 high) is not completed yet and is in favor to resume through 0.9407 at a later stage. However, decisive break of 1.0095 resistance will raise the chance of bullish trend reversal. Rise from 0.9407 should then target 1.0505 cluster resistance (2020 low at 1.0505, 61.8% retracement of 1.1149 to 0.9407 at 1.1484).

EUR/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1916; (P) 1.1950; (R1) 1.1973; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/CHF remains neutral at this point. Consolidation should be relatively brief as long as 1.1888 minor support holds and another rally is expected. Decisive break of 1.2 will pave the way to 61.8% projection of 1.0629 to 1.1832 from 1.1445 at 1.2188. However, considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 1.1888 will indicate short term topping. In that case, deeper pull back would be seen back to 1.1445/1832 support zone.

In the bigger picture, long term up trend in EUR/CHF is still in progress. Prior SNB imposed floor at 1.2003 was already met but there is no sign of reversal yet. As long as 1.1445 support holds, we’d expect the up trend to extend to 2013 high at 1.2649 next.

EUR/CHF Weekly Outlook

EUR/CHF dipped further to 0.9675 last week, but turned sideway just ahead of 61.8% retracement of 0.9407 to 1.0095 at 0.9670. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Strong support should still be seen around 0.9670 to complete the whole corrective pattern from 1.0095. On the upside, firm break of 0.9760 resistance will confirm short term bottoming, and turn bias back to the upside for 0.9878 resistance next. However, sustained break of 0.9670 will pave the way back to 0.9407 low instead.

In the bigger picture, prior rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.1149 to 0.9407 at 1.0072 suggests that medium term outlook is staying bearish. The pair is also capped below 55 W EMA (now at 0.9945).

In the long term picture, it’s still way too early too call for bullish trend reversal with upside capped well below 55 M EMA (now at 1.0515) and 1.0505 support turned resistance (2020 low). The multi-decade down trend could still continue.

EUR/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9751; (P) 0.9764; (R1) 0.9785; More

Intraday bias in EUR/CHF stays neutral and outlook is unchanged. Fall from 0.9995 is a correction to rise from 0.9704 only. Break of 0.9878 resistance will indicate that such correction has completed and target 0.9995. Firm break there should confirm that larger corrective decline from 1.0095 has completed at 0.9704 too.

In the bigger picture, prior rejection by 55 W EMA (now at 0.9971) and 38.2% retracement of 1.1149 to 0.9407 at 1.0072 suggests that medium term outlook is staying bearish. That is, down trend from 1.2004 is not completed yet and is in favor to resume through 0.9407 at a later stage.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0867; (P) 1.0901; (R1) 1.0939; More…..

A temporary low is formed at 1.0863 with today’s recovery. Intraday bias is turned neutral for some consolidations. Upside of recovery should be limited below 1.1062 resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 1.0863 will target 100% projection of 1.2004 to 1.1173 from 1.1476 at 1.0645.

In the bigger picture, current development firstly suggests that down trend from 1.2004 is still in progress. More importantly, it’s likely a long term down trend itself, rather than a correction. Outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.1476 resistance holds. EUR/CHF should target 1.0629 support and below.

EUR/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1279; (P) 1.1309; (R1) 1.1364; More…

EUR/CHF’s break of 1.1342 resistance suggests that rebound from 1.1178 has resumed. Also, it affirms the case of bullish reversal after hitting 1.1154/98 key support zone. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 1.1452 resistance for confirmation. On the downside, in case of another fall, we’d continue to expect strong support from 11.1154/98 to bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, for now, the price actions from 1.2004 medium term top is seen as a correction only. Downside should be contained by support zone of 1.1198 (2016 high) and 61.8% retracement of 1.0629 to 1.2004 at 1.1154 to complete it and bring rebound. This cluster level is in proximity to long term channel support (now at 1.1207) too. A break of 1.2 key resistance is still expected in the medium term long term. However, sustained break of the mentioned support zone will mark reversal of the long term trend. In that case, 1.0629 key support will be back into focus.

EUR/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1599; (P) 1.1619; (R1) 1.1647; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/CHF remains neutral as range trading continues. On the downside, considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD and daily MACD, decisive break of 1.1541 will confirm topping and turn near term outlook bearish for 1.1355 key support. Nonetheless, on the upside, break of 1.1721 resistance will resume recent up trend towards 1.2 key level.

In the bigger picture, long term rise from SNB spike low back in 2015 is still in progress. EUR/CHF should now be heading back to prior SNB imposed floor at 1.2000. For now, this will be the favored case as long as 1.1355 support holds. However, break of 1.1355 will indicate medium term topping. In that case, EUR/CHF should head back to 55 week EMA (now at 1.1158) and possibly below.

EUR/CHF Weekly Outlook

EUR/CHF stayed in consolidation below 1.0838 last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Further rise is expected as long as 1.0712 support holds. On the upside, above 1.0838 will target 1.0915 resistance first. Break there will resume whole rally from 1.0503 to 1.0503 to 100% projection of 1.0503 to 1.0915 from 1.0602 at 1.1014 next. On the downside, break of 1.0712 support will dampen our bullish view. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.0602, to extend the corrective pattern from 1.0915 instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1059 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.2004 to 1.0503 at 1.1076) holds, price actions from 1.0503 are seen as a consolidation pattern. That is, down trend from 1.2004 (2018 high) would still extend through 1.0503 low at a later stage. However, sustained break of 1.1059/76 will argue that rise from 1.0503 is starting a new up trend and would target 61.8% retracement at 1.1431 and above.

EUR/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0997; (P) 1.1013; (R1) 1.1034; More….

EUR/CHF is staying in consolidation from 1.1149 and intraday bias remains neutral. In case of deeper fall, we’d continue to expect strong support from 1.0954 to bring rebound, and then rally resumption. On the upside, break of 1.1116 will argue that larger rise from 1.0504 is ready to resume through 1.1149 high.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.2004 (2018 high) should have completed at 1.0503. Rise from there is starting a medium term up trend. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.2004 to 1.0503 at 1.1431 and above. This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.0915 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/CHF Weekly Outlook

EUR/CHF surged to as high as 1.1072 last week and the development confirmed resumption of whole rally from 1.0629. Initial bias remains on the upside this week for key resistance at 1.1127/98. On the downside, break of 1.0983 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will remain bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, the price actions from 1.1198 are seen as a corrective move. Such correction could have completed after defending 38.2% retracement of 0.9771 to 1.1198 at 1.0653. Decisive break of 1.1198 will resume the long term rise from SNB spike low back in 2015. In such case, EUR/CHF could eventually head back to prior SNB imposed floor at 1.2000. However, rejection from 1.1198 will extend the multi-year range trading with another fall.

EUR/CHF is staying in tight range of 1.0631/0706 and intraday bias remains neutral first. With 1.0706 resistance intact, outlook stays mildly bearish. Break of 1.0620 key support level will extend the larger decline from 1.1198 to 1.0485 fibonacci level. However, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 1.0706 minor resistance will raise the chance of medium term reversal. In that case, focus will be turned back to 1.0749 and then 1.0897 key resistance.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.1198 is seen as a corrective move. Such correction is still in progress. Sustained trading below 38.2% retracement of 0.9771 to 1.1198 at 1.0653 will target 50% retracement at 1.0485. On the upside, break of 1.0897 resistance is needed to confirm completion of such fall. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish.

EUR/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9905; (P) 0.9938; (R1) 0.9962; More

Intraday bias in EUR/CHF stays neutral as sideway trading continues. Near term outlook remains cautiously bullish with 0.9837 minor support intact. Correction from 1.0095 could have completed at 0.9704 already. Break of 0.9995 will affirm this bullish case and target a retest on 1.0095 high. However, break of 0.9837 will dampen this bullish view and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9704 support instead.

In the bigger picture, prior rejection by 55 week EMA (now at 1.1002) and 38.2% retracement of 1.1149 to 0.9407 at 1.0072 suggests that medium term outlook is staying bearish. That is, down trend from 1.2004 is not completed yet and is in favor to resume through 0.9407 at a later stage.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9596; (P) 0.9610; (R1) 0.9635; More

EUR/CHF is staying below 0.9630 despite today’s recovery. Intraday bias remains neutral first. As long as 0.9510 support holds, further rally is still expected. On the upside, break of 0.9630 will resume the rise from 0.9252 and target 161.8% projection of 0.9252 to 0.9471 from 0.9304 at 0.9658 next. However, considering bearish divergence condition in 4H MACD, firm break of 0.9510 will turn bias back to the downside for deeper fall.

In the bigger picture, as long as 0.9683 resistance holds, rebound from 0.9252 are seen as a corrective move only. Larger down trend is expected to resume through 0.9252 after the correction completes. However, firm break of 0.9683 and sustained trading above 55 W EMA (now at 0.9620) will argue that 0.9252 is already a medium term bottom. Stronger rise would then be seen 61.8% retracement of 1.0095 to 0.9252 at 0.9773 and above.

EUR/CHF Weekly Outlook

EUR/CHF’s fall from 1.0986 extended lower last week and reached as low as 1.0854. No change in the view that it’s a correction. Hence, while deeper decline could be seen this week, downside should be contained by 1.0791/0872 support zone, probably around 55 day EMA (now at 1.0825). Rise from 1.0629 is expected to resume later. Above 1.0902 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.0986/0999.

In the bigger picture, the price actions from 1.1198 are seen as a corrective move. Such correction could have completed after defending 38.2% retracement of 0.9771 to 1.1198 at 1.0653. Decisive break of 1.0999 resistance will target a test on 1.1198 high. For now, this will be the preferred case as long as 1.0791 support holds.

EUR/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1665; (P) 1.1690; (R1) 1.1731; More…

EUR/CHF rebounds strongly ahead of 1.1584 support. But it’s staying well below 1.1736 resistance and intraday bias remains neutral. As noted before, persistent bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD and rising wedge like structure suggests that the cross is near to forming a top, if not formed. Hence, even in case of another rise, we’d expect limited upside potential. On the downside, sustained break of 1.1584 support will be a strong sign of trend reversal and should turn outlook bearish for 38.2% retracement of 1.0629 to 1.1736 at 1.1313.

In the bigger picture, while a medium term top could be around the corner, there is no change in the larger outlook. That is, long term rise from SNB spike low back in 2015 is still in progress and would extend. As long as 1.1195 resistance turned support holds, we’ll hold on to this bullish view and expect another to prior SNB imposed floor at 1.2000. Though, we’ll reassess the outlook if 1.1195 is firmly taken out.

EUR/CHF Weekly Outlook

Range trading continued in EUR/CHF last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias remains neutral this week. On the upside, break of 0.9647 will resume the rebound from 0.9520. Further sustained break of 0.9670 will be the first sign of bullish reversal and target 0.9840 resistance for confirmation. On the downside, break of 0.9520 will resume the whole fall from 1.0095 towards 0.9407 low.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook is staying bearish as the pair is capped well below falling 55 W EMA (now at 0.9859). Down trend from 1.2004 (2018 high) is in favor to continue. Sustained break of 0.9407 will target 61.8% projection of 1.1149 to 0.9407 from 1.0095 at 0.9018. For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.9840 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

In the long term picture, outlook remains bearish as it’s staying well below 55 M EMA (now at 1.0422). Break of 1.00095 resistance is needed to be the first sign of bottoming, or the multi-decade down trend is expected to continue.

EUR/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9413; (P) 0.9449; (R1) 0.9470; More

Intraday bias in EUR/CHF stays on the downside at this point. Current decline from 1.0095 is in progress for 0.9407 medium term bottom. Decisive break there will confirm larger down trend resumption. On the upside, break of 0.9532 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains bearish with the cross capped well below falling 55 W EMA (now at 0.9782). Firm break of 0.9407 (2022 low) will confirm resumption of larger down trend from 1.2004 (2018 high). Next target will be 61.8% projection of 1.1149 to 0.9407 from 1.0095 at 0.9018. On the upside, break of 0.9691 resistance is needed to indicate medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish.
