According to the CFTC Commitments of Traders report for the week ended November 24, NET LENGTH for crude oil futures soared +41 828 contracts to 522 39 for the week. Speculative long position gained +34 912 contracts, while shorts fell -6 916 contracts. For refined oil products, NET LENGTH for gasoline increased +4 494 contracts to 64 884, while heating oil’s NET LENGTH dropped -840 contracts to 13 693. NET LENGTH in Natural Gas futures dived -21 130 contracts to 25 312 for the week.
Gold futures’ NET LENGTH declined -7 368 contracts to 243 902 while silver futures’ NET LENGTH added +66 contracts to 45 680. For PGMs, NET LENGTH of Nymex platinum futures rose +2 593 contracts to 18 765 while that for palladium slipped -36 contracts to 3 027.
