The US Dollar Index Went Down

The US dollar weakened yesterday against the basket of major currencies after the release of a report on new home sales in the US. In June, sales fell to 631K, while experts expected 669K. The US dollar index (#DX) closed in the negative zone (-0.43%). The “black gold” prices are rising amid a reduction in crude oil inventories. At the moment, futures for WTI crude oil are testing a mark of $69.45 per barrel.
