EUR/AUD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5500; (P) 1.5547; (R1) 1.5606; More….

Despite jumping to 1.5690, subsequent sharp fall and break of 1.5487 minor support argues that rebound from 1.5271 has completed already, ahead of 1.5773 support turned resistance as expected. EUR/AUD was limited limited by 55 day EMA. Intraday bias is turned back to the downside for 1.5271 low first. Break there will resume whole fall from 1.6189 to 1.5153 key support next.

In the bigger picture, rally from 1.3624 (2017 low) should have completed at 1.6189 already, ahead of 1.6587 key resistance (2015 high). 1.6189 is seen as a medium term top. Deeper fall would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.3624 to 1.6189 at 1.5209 first. Decisive break there will pave the way to 61.8% retracement at 1.4604. In that case, we’ll look for bottoming again below 1.4604. On the upside, firm break of 1.5773 support turned resistance is needed to indicate completion of the fall from 1.6189. Otherwise, further decline is expected in medium term, even in case of strong rebound.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD’s pull back from 1.6671 extended to as low as 1.6348 last week but rebounded since then. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. On the upside, decisive break of 1.6671 will revive the case that whole correction from 1.7062 has completed with three waves down to 1.6127. Further rally should then be seen to 1.6844 resistance for confirmation. Nevertheless, break of 1.6438 will bring deeper fall back to 1.6127 support instead.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.7062 medium term top is seen as correction to the up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low). Break of 1.6844 resistance will argue that this up trend is ready to resume through 1.7062 high. In case of another fall, strong support should be seen around 1.5846 and 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000 to bring rebound.

In the longer term picture, price actions from 1.9799 (2020 high) are seen as a long term decline at the same scale as the rise from 1.1602 (2012 low). Rebound from 1.4281 is seen as the second leg. As long as 55 M EMA (now at 1.5905) holds, this second leg could still extend higher. However, sustained trading below 55 M EMA will open up the bearish case for extending the decline through 1.4281 low.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5665; (P) 1.5723; (R1) 1.5772; More….

EUR/AUD is staying in consolidation from 1.5887 and intraday bias remains neutral. In case of another retreat, down side should be contained by 1.5596 support to bring rise resumption. On the upside, above 1.5887 will resume the rise from 1.5346 to 1.5984 resistance first. Decisive break there will pave the way to retest 1.6357 high. Nevertheless, break of 1.5596 will indicate completion of the rebound and turn bias back to the downside for retesting 1.5346 low.

In the bigger picture, no change in the view that 1.6357 is a medium term top. But the strong rebound ahead of 1.5271 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 1.3624 to 1.6357 at 1.5313) suggests price actions from 1.6357 are developing into sideway consolidation, rather than a deep correction. The range of 1.5271/6357 is likely set for the consolidation. And we don’t expect a break of the range any time soon. But decisive break of 1.6357 will resume the larger up trend from 1.3624 (2017 low) to 1.6587 (2015 high).

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD’s fall from 1.6785 resumed last week by powering through 1.6134 support. Initial bias stays on the downside this week for 100% projection of 1.6785 to 1.6134 from 1.6513 at 1.5862. Strong support could be seen around there to bring rebound, at least on first attempt. On the upside, firm break of 1.6134 support turned resistance should confirm short term bottoming and bring stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, a medium term is possibly in place at 1.6785 already, on bearish divergence condition in D MACD. Fall from there is seen as corrective whole up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low). Deeper decline is expected as long as 1.6513 resistance holds, to 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.6785 at 1.5828. Strong support could be seen there to complete the first leg of the corrective pattern.

In the longer term picture, it’s still early to decide if rise from 1.4281 is resuming whole up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). But in either case, further rally is in favor as long as 1.5254 support holds. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.4281 at 1.7691.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6661; (P) 1.6765; (R1) 1.6839; More

EUR/AUD is still staying in tight range above 1.6538 and intraday bias remains neutral. On the upside, break of 1.7194 resistance should confirm short term bottoming. Stronger rise should then be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.6538 at 1.7784 next. On the downside, however, break of 1.6538 will indicate resumption of fall from 1.9799. More importantly, sustained trading below 1.6597 key support will carry larger bearish implication and target 1.5962 support next.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.6597 key cluster support, (2015 high and 38.2% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.6668, 55 week EMA (now at 1.6544). Strong rebound from current level will retain medium term bullishness. Larger up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) would extend through 1.9799 high. However, sustained break of 1.6597 will suggest bearish reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 1.4733.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6263; (P) 1.6325; (R1) 1.6433; More

EUR/AUD’s break of 1.6343 resistance suggest short term bottoming at 1.6122. Intraday bias is turned back to the upside for 1.6827 resistance, to extend the consolidation pattern from 1.6033 with another rising leg. On the downside, break of 1.6122 will bring retest of 1.6033 low.

In the bigger picture, price action from 1.9799 are seen as developing into a corrective pattern. The question is whether it’s a sideway pattern or a deep correction. On the downside, sustained break of 1.6033 will suggest it’s the latter case and target 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 (2012 low) to 1.9799 at 1.4733. On the upside, break of 1.6827 resistance will favor the former case and bring stronger rebound.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6692; (P) 1.6747; (R1) 1.6806; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral for the moment, and some more consolidations could be seen. On the upside, sustained break of 1.6843/4 will resume the rebound from 1.6319 for retesting 1.7062 high next. On the downside, however, below 1.6631 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.6449 support instead.

In the bigger picture, while 1.7062 is a medium term top, there is no clear sign of trend reversal as EUR/AUD continues to draw strong support from the medium term trend line. Break of 1.7062 will resume the larger up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low) to 1.7691 fibonacci level. Nevertheless, break of 1.6449 support will argue that deeper correction is underway to 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6060; (P) 1.6103; (R1) 1.6142; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral at this point. With 1.6178 minor resistance intact, further decline is expected. On the downside, decisive break of 1.6033 will resume larger down trend from 1.9799. Next near term target is 100% projection of 1.6872 to 1.6122 from 1.6420 at 1.5984. On the upside, firm break of 1.6178 minor resistance will suggest short term bottoming, after drawing support from 1.6033 low. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.6420 resistance first.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD’s strong rebound last week and break of 1.3900 resistance indicate short term bottoming at 1.3624, on bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Also, it’s an early sign on trend reversal as the cross defended 1.3671 key support level. Initial bias stays on the upside this week for 1.4289 resistance first. Break will confirm this affirm this case and target 1.4721 resistance for confirmation. On the downside, below 1.3835 minor support will dampen this bullish view and turn bias back to the downside for 1.3624 low.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.6587 medium term top are viewed as a corrective pattern. We’d expect strong support from 1.3671 key level to contain downside and bring rebound. Up trend from 1.1602 should not be finished and will resume later. Break of 1.4721 resistance will indicate completion of such correction and turn outlook bullish for retesting 1.6587 high. However, sustained break of 1.3671 will invalidate our bullish view and would turn focus back to 1.1602 long term bottom.

In the longer term picture, the rise from 1.1602 long term bottom isn’t over yet. We’ll keep monitoring the development but there is prospect of extending the rise to 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 to 1.1602 at 1.7488 and above. However, break of 1.3671 should confirm trend reversal and target 1.1602 long term bottom again.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

Despite another decline attempt, EUR/AUD rebound ahead of 1.6033 support. Initial bias remains neutral this week first and more consolidation could be seen. Still as long as 1.6772 resistance holds, further decline is expected. On the downside, firm break of 1.6033 will resume the decline from 1.9799 for next support level at 1.5346. On the upside, however, break of 1.6772 resistance will confirm short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, whole up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) might have completed at 1.9799. Deeper fall could be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. This will remain the preferred case now as long as 1.7194 resistance holds.

In the longer term picture rise from 1.1602 (2012 low) could have already completed with three waves up to 1.9799. The development suggests that long term range trading is extending with another medium term down leg. Sustained trading below 55 month EMA (now at 1.5757) will further affirm this case and target 1.1602/3624 support zone.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6365; (P) 1.6454; (R1) 1.6509; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD is turned neutral with current retreat. Further rally is expected as long as 1.6255 support holds. Correction from 1.6785 should have completed with three waves down to 1.5846. Above 1.6552 will target a retest on 1.6785 high next. Nevertheless, on the downside, break of 1.6255 will dampen this view and turn bias to the downside for 1.5846 support.

In the bigger picture, with 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.6785 at 1.5828 intact, rally from 1.4281 is still in progress. Firm break of 1.6785 will confirm rally resumption. Next target is 100% projection of 1.5254 to 1.6785 from 1.5846 at 1.7377. On the other hand, rejection by 1.6785 will extend the corrective pattern with another fall leg. But outlook will stay bullish as long as 1.5828 holds.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6050; (P) 1.6094; (R1) 1.6170; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains mildly on the upside. Rebound from 1.5905 short term bottom is still in progress for 1.6308 support turned resistance first. Firm break there should confirm completion of whole fall from 1.6789 and target this resistance again. For now, in case of another decline, we’d continue to expect strong support from 1.5894 to contain downside to bring rebound. However, sustained break will carry larger bearish implications and target 1.5683 support next.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5894 support holds, outlook remains bullish. Firm break of 1.6786 will resume up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Next upside target is 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488. However, sustained break of 1.5894 will have 55 week EMA (now at 1.6008) firmly taken out too. That should indicate medium term topping and target 1.5346 key support next.

Range trading continues in EUR/AUD and intraday bias stays neutral for the moment. On the downside, below 1.6446 minor support will bring retest of 1.6319. Break there will resume the decline from 1.7062 to 1.6000 fibonacci level. On the upside, firm break of 1.6650 resistance will argue that pull back from 1.7062 has completed, after drawing support from medium term rising trend line. Further rally would be seen back to retest 1.7062.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.7062 is probably correcting whole up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low). Deeper decline would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000. Strong support could be seen there to bring rebound, at least on first attempt. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.6650 resistance holds.

While fall from 1.7062 is in progress for 100% projection of 1.7062 to 1.6319 from 1.6844 at 1.6106 next. On the upside, above 1.6649 resistance will turn intraday bias and bring consolidations first, before staging another decline.

In the bigger picture, the break of medium term trend line support now suggests fall from 1.7062 correcting the whole up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low). Deeper decline would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000. Strong support could be seen there to bring rebound on first attempt. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.6844 resistance holds. Sustained break of 1.6000 would bring further fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.5343.

At this point, EUR/AUD is staying in consolidation above 1.5774 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Outlook also stays bearish with 1.6154 resistance intact and further decline is expected. On the downside, break of 1.5774 will resume the fall from 1.6765 and target 1.5346 key support next. On the upside, break of 1.6154 will argue that the pull back has completed. Intraday bias will then be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.6765.

In the bigger picture, the failure to sustain above 1.6587 key resistance (2015 high) argues that up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) is not ready to resume yet. But still, as long as 1.5346 support holds, outlook will remain bullish. Break of 1.6765 will target 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488 next. However, firm break of 1.5346 key support will indicate trend reversal, with bearish divergence condition in weekly MACD, and turn outlook bearish.

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral for the moment. On the downside, below 1.4687 minor support will argue that rebound from 1.4318 has completed at 1.5053 already. Intraday bias will be back on the downside for retesting 1.4318 low. On the upside, break of 1.5053 will target 61.8% retracement of 1.6223 to 1.4318 at 1.5495.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.9799 is seen as a long term impulsive move. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.9799 to 1.5250 from 1.6434 at 1.3623, which is close to 1.3624 long term support (2017 low). Some support could be seen there to bring interim rebound. But overall, break of 1.5354 support turned resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral first and more range trading could be seen. On the upside, sustained break of 1.6586 will will suggest that it’s at least in correction to the fall from 1.9799 to 1.6033. Further rise should then be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.6033 at 1.7472. However, rejection by 1.6586 will maintain near term bearishness for another fall through 1.6033 later.

In the bigger picture, whole up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) might have completed at 1.9799. Deeper fall might be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 1.5823). Sustained break there will pave the way to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. However, strong support from 55 week EMA (now at 1.6453) would neutralize the long term bearishness and argues that price actions from 1.9799 are developing into a sideway range pattern instead.
