EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 126.05; (P) 126.31; (R1) 126.56; More….

EUR/JPY is remaining in consolidation from 127.22 and intraday bias stays neutral first. Further rise is mildly in favor as long as 125.92 support holds. Break of 127.22 will resume whole rise from 114.42 for 128.67 medium term fibonacci level. However, firm break of 125.92 will indicate rejection by 127.07 resistance. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside, to extend the consolidation from 127.07 with another leg.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 is seen as a medium term rising leg inside a long term sideway pattern. Further rise is expected as long as 121.63 support holds. Break of 127.07 will target 61.8% retracement of 137.49 (2018 high) to 114.42 at 128.67. Sustained trading above there will target 137.49 next. However, firm break of 121.63 will argue that the rise from 114.42 has completed and turn focus back to this low.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY’s rise from 115.86 resumed last week and surged to as high as 122.65. A temporary top was formed there with subsequent retreat and initial bias is neutral this week first. Downside should be contained above 119.99 support to bring another rally. Prior support from 55 day EMA is a sign of near term bullishness. On the upside, break of 122.65 will target 123.35 resistance first. Break will target key channel resistance (now at 124.72).

In the bigger picture, EUR/JPY is still staying in the falling channel established since 137.49 (2018 high). Rise from 115.86 is seen as a corrective rise for the moment. Strong resistance could be seen at falling channel resistance (now at 124.72) to limit upside. However, sustained break of the channel resistance will carry larger bullish implication and target 127.50 key resistance next.

In the long term picture, EUR/JPY is staying in long term sideway pattern, established since 2000. Fall from 137.49 is seen as a falling leg inside the pattern. This falling leg would target 109.48 (2016 low). With EUR/JPY staying below 55 month EMA (now at 125.72), this is the preferred case.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 164.98; (P) 165.36; (R1) 166.09; More

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains on the upside for the moment. Current up trend should target 169.96 key resistance next. On the downside, break of 164.39 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral again first. But outlook will continue to stay bullish as long as 162.26 support holds, in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, current rally is part of the up trend from 114.42 (2020 low), which is still in progress. Next target is 169.96 (2008 high). Break of 160.20 support is needed to be the first sign of medium term topping. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish in case of retreat.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 131.49; (P) 132.22; (R1) 132.68; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral for the moment with focus on 131.65 key support. Decisive break there will confirm rejection from 134.20 fibonacci level. That will also complete and double top pattern (134.39, 134.48) and confirms near term reversal. 55 day EMA will also be firmly taken out. In that case, deeper decline should be seen back to 127.55 key support. On the upside, decisive break of 134.39/48 resistance zone is needed to confirm up trend resumption. Otherwise, even in case of rebound, near term outlook is neutral at best.

In the bigger picture, medium term rise from 109.03 (2016 low) is seen as at the same degree as the down trend from 149.76 (2014 high) to 109.03 (2016 low). 61.8% retracement of 149.76 to 109.03 at 134.20 is already met. Sustained break there will pave the way to key long term resistance zone at 141.04/149.76. However, break of 127.55 support will argue that the medium term trend has reversed and will turn outlook bearish for deeper fall back to 114.84/124.08 support zone at least.

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY stays neutral for consolidation above 121.63 temporary low. Deeper decline would remain in favor as long as 125.08 resistance holds, even in case of strong recovery. Break of 121.63 will resume the fall from 127.07, to 61.8% retracement of 114.42 to 127.07 at 119.25, which is close to 119.31 key support.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 is seen as a medium term rising leg inside a long term sideway pattern. Further rise is expected as long as 119.31 support holds. Break of 127.07 will target 61.8% retracement of 137.49 (2018 high) to 114.42 at 128.67 next. However, firm break of 119.31 will argue that the rise from 114.42 has completed and turn focus back to this low.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 125.40; (P) 125.74; (R1) 126.14; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY stays neutral first as consolidation from 126.75 is extending. Downside of retreat should be contained above 124.31 support to bring another rally. On the upside, break of 126.75 will target 100% projection of 114.42 to 124.43 from 119.31 at 129.32. Nevertheless, break of 124.31 will indicate short term topping and turn bias to the downside for pull back.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 137.49 (2018 high) could have completed at 114.42 already. Rise from 114.42 would target 61.8% retracement of 137.49 to 114.42 at 128.67 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to 137.49 (2018 high). This will remain the preferred case for now, as long as 55 day EMA (now at 122.54) holds. However, sustained break of 55 day EMA will revive medium term bearishness for another low below 114.42 at a later stage.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 119.99; (P) 120.25; (R1) 120.49; More….

EUR/JPY failed to sustain above 120.63 minor resistance and retreated. Intraday bias remains neutral first. As long as 191.11 support holds, outlook remains cautiously bullish and further rise is in favor. On the upside above 120.68 will target a test on 121.46 resistance firm Break will resume whole rise form 115.86 and target 123.35 structural resistance.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be formed at 115.86, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD, ahead of 114.84 support. Decisive of 120.78 support turned resistance will affirm this case and bring further rise to falling channel resistance (now at 125.32). Reactions from there would decide whether the medium term trend has reversed. For now, further rise is expected as long as 117.07 support holds.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 133.14; (P) 133.28; (R1) 133.43; More….

EUR/JPY is staying in consolidation from 134.11 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Further rally is still expected with 132.51 support intact. On the upside, sustained break of 100% projection of 114.42 to 127.07 from 121.63 at 134.28, will extend the up trend from 114.42 to 137.49 long term resistance next. On the downside, however, firm break of 132.51 will indicate short term topping and bring deeper pull back.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 is seen as a medium term rising leg inside a long term sideway pattern. Further rise is expected as long as 130.65 resistance turned support holds. Next target is 137.49 (2018 high). Decisive break there will open up the possibility that it’s indeed resuming the up trend from 94.11 (2012 low). For now, outlook will stay bullish as long as 127.07 resistance turned support holds, in case of pull back.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY’s decline from 126.75 accelerated lower last week but stays above 124.31 support so far. Initial bias remains neutral this week first and further rise could be seen. Break of 126.75 will resume the rally from 114.42. However, considering bearish divergence condition in daily MACD, firm break of 124.31 should confirm short term topping. Intraday bias will be turned to the downside for 55 day EMA (now at 123.03), to correct the rally from 114.42.

This will remain the preferred case for now, as long as 55 day EMA (now at 123.03) holds. However, sustained break of 55 day EMA will revive medium term bearishness for another low below 114.42 at a later stage.

In the long term picture, EUR/JPY is staying in long term sideway pattern, established since 2000. Sustained break of 55 month EMA (now at 124.54) should confirm the start of another medium term rising leg.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY stayed in range above 127.49 last week and initial bias stays neutral this week first. Also, near term outlook remains mildly bearish with 130.14 resistance intact, and further decline is expected. On the downside, break of 127.49 will turn bias to the downside for 126.63 support first. Break there will resume whole fall from 133.12 and target 124.08/89 support zone. On the upside, however, break of 130.14 will resume the rebound from 126.63 towards 133.12 resistance.

In the bigger picture, as long as 124.08 key resistance turn supported holds, larger up trend from 109.03 (2016 low) is still in progress. Firm break of 137.49 structural resistance will target 141.04/149.76 resistance zone next. However, decisive break of 124.08 will argue that such rise from 109.03 has completed and turn outlook bearish. In that case, deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 109.03 to 137.49 at 119.90.

In the long term picture, at this point, EUR/JPY is staying in long term sideway pattern, established since 2000. Rise from 109.03 is seen as a leg inside the pattern. As long as 124.08 support holds, further rally is in favor in medium to long term through 149.76 high. However, break of 124.08 could extend the fall through 109.03 low instead.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 121.10; (P) 121.68; (R1) 122.34; More…

EUR/JPY continues to engage in choppy sideway trading below 124.08 resistance. Intraday bias stays neutral for the moment. Another fall cannot be ruled out as the consolidation extends. On the downside, below 120.54 will target 118.45 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 109.20 to 124.08 at 118.39). In that case, we’d expect strong support from there to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 124.08 will extend the larger rally from 109.20 to 126.09 key resistance next.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 109.20 medium term bottom are seen as part of a medium term corrective pattern from 149.76. There is prospect of another rise towards 126.09 key resistance level before completion. But even in that case, we’d expect strong resistance between 126.09 and 141.04 to limit upside, at least on first attempt.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 131.26; (P) 131.59; (R1) 131.99; More….

Intraday in EUR/JPY remains mildly on the upside at this point. Corrective pattern from 134.11 might have completed at 124.37 already. Further rise should be seen to retest 133.13/134.11 resistance zone first. Decisive break there will resume larger up trend. However, break of 130.01 minor support will mix up the near term outlook and turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral for now. Price actions from 134.11 are so far still seen as a corrective pattern. That is, rise from 114.42 (2020 low) is in favor to resume at a later stage. But before that, the corrective pattern from 134.11 could still extend further, sideway or downward. In the latter case, break of 124.37 will target 61.8% retracement of 114.42 to 134.11 at 121.94.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 130.99; (P) 131.55; (R1) 131.85; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains on the downside as fall from 133.47 is still in progress. As noted before, corrective rise from 128.94 has completed at 133.47 already. Deeper decline is expected to retest 128.94 low next. And, break there will resume whole fall from 137.49. On the upside, above 132.53 minor resistance will delay the bearish case. Intraday bias would be turned to the upside to extend the rebound from 128.94. Still, we expect strong resistance from 61.8% retracement of 137.49 to 128.94 at 134.22 to limit upside and bring near term reversal eventually.

In the bigger picture, price action from 137.49 medium term top are developing into a corrective pattern. The first leg has completed at 128.94. The second leg might be finished at 133.47 or it might extend. But after all, we’d expect another decline through 128.94 to 38.2% retracement of 109.03 to 137.49 at 126.61 before completing the correction.

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY remains neutral for some consolidations, but further rise is expected with 129.14 minor support intact. Corrective fall from 134.11 could have completed at 127.91 already. On the upside, break of 130.73 will resume the rebound from 127.91 to 132.68 resistance next. However, break of 129.14 will dampen this bullish view and bring retest of 127.91 low instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 114.42 is seen as a medium term rising leg inside a long term sideway pattern. As long as 127.07 resistance turned support holds, further rise is still expected to retest 137.49 (2018 high). However, firm break of 127.07 will argue that the medium term trend has reversed, deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 114.42 to 134.11 at 121.94.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 155.14; (P) 155.64; (R1) 156.41; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY stays mildly on the upside, as rebound from 153.32 is in progress for retesting 157.99 high. Firm break there will resume larger up trend. On the downside, break of 153.32 will extend the pull back from 157.99 to 55 D EMA (now at 152.87) and possibly below.

In the bigger picture, as long as 151.60 resistance turned support holds, rise from 114.42 (2020 low) is in progress. On resumption, next target is 100% projection of 124.37 to 148.38 from 138.81 at 162.82. Nevertheless, sustained break of 151.60 will argue that larger correction is already underway.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY edged higher to 130.45 last week but failed to break through 130.73 resistance and retreated sharply. Initial bias is mildly on the downside for retesting 127.91 support. Firm break there will resume the whole decline from 134.11 to 127.07 resistance turned support next. On the upside, though, break of 130.73 resistance will argue that correction from 134.11 has completed and turn near term outlook bullish for retesting this high.

In the long term picture, EUR/JPY is staying in long term sideway pattern, established since 2000. Another rising leg in progress for 137.49 resistance and above.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

EUR/JPY surged to as high as 124.29 last week but failed to break through 124.43 resistance and retreated. Initial bias is neutral this week first. Further rally will remain in favor as long as 121.96 support holds. On the upside, firm break of 124.43 will resume the rise from 114.42 to 61.8% projection of 114.42 to 124.43 from 119.31 at 125.49. On the downside, however, break of 121.96 will turn bias to the downside for 119.31 support instead.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 137.49 (2018 high) could have completed at 114.42 already. Rise from 114.42 would target 61.8% retracement of 137.49 to 114.42 at 128.67 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to 137.59 (2018 high). This will remain the preferred case for now, as long as 55 day EMA (now at 120.80) holds. However, sustained break of 55 day EMA will revive medium term bearishness for another low below 114.42 at a later stage.

In the long term picture, EUR/JPY is staying in long term sideway pattern, established since 2000. Sustained break of 55 month EMA (now at 124.50) should confirm the start of another medium term rising leg.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 119.24; (P) 119.48; (R1) 119.77; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY is turned neutral with 4 hour MACD crossed below signal line. Some retreat could be seen, but downside should be contained above 117.07 support to bring another rally. On the upside, break of 120.01 resistance will resume the rise from 115.86 for 100% projection of 115.86 to 120.01 from 117.07 at 121.16 first.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that a medium term bottom is formed at 115.86, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD, ahead of 114.84 support. Break of 120.78 support turned resistance will affirm this case and bring further rise to falling channel resistance (now at 126.10). Reactions from there would decide whether the medium term has reversed. For now, further rise is expected as long as 117.07 support holds.

EUR/JPY Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 127.67; (P) 127.99; (R1) 128.46; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/JPY is turned neutral as it recovered ahead of 127.36 support. On the downside, firm break of 127.36 will resume fall from 133.44 and larger pattern from 134.11. Next target is 126.58 medium term fibonacci level. For now, outlook will stay bearish as long as 129.62 resistance holds, in case of stronger recovery.

In the bigger picture, as long as 38.2% retracement of 114.42 (2020 low) to 134.11 at 126.58 holds, up trend from 114.42 is still in favor to continue. Break of 134.11 will target long term resistance at 137.49 (2018 high). However, sustained break of 126.58 will raise the chance of medium term bearish reversal. In this case, deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement at 121.94, and possibly below.

EUR/JPY Weekly Outlook

Near term outlook in EUR/JPY is a bit mixed. 134.20 fibonacci level is proven to be a strong resistance. But there was no follow through downside momentum confirm trend reversal Initial bias in EUR/JPY stays neutral this week. Risk will remain on the downside as long as 134.48 key resistance holds. Break of 131.16 will target 38.2% retracement of 114.84 to 134.48 at 126.97, which is close to 127.55 support. We’ll look for support from there to bring rebound on first attempt.

In the long term picture, at this point, there is no clear indication that rise from 109.03 is resuming that from 94.11. Hence, we’d be cautious on topping below 149.76 to extend range trading. Nonetheless, firm break of 149.76 will indicates strong underlying buying. In such case, EUR/JPY will target 100% projection of 94.11 to 149.76 from 109.03 at 164.68.
