EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1287; (P) 1.1327; (R1) 1.1366; More

Outlook in EUR/USD is unchanged and intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, firm break of 1.1482 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 to 1.1120 at 1.1589 next. Sustained break there will argue that whole fall from 1.2348 has completed too and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1879. On the downside, however, break of 1.1265 support will dampen this bullish view and bring retest of 1.1120 low instead.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is seen as a leg inside the range pattern from 1.2555 (2018 high). Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 1.1593) will argue that it has completed and stronger rise would be seen back towards top of the range between 1.2348 and 1.2555. However, firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0521; (P) 1.0548; (R1) 1.0570; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays on the downside at this point. Fall from 1.1032 is in progress for 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1032 at 1.0463. Strong support could be seen there to bring reversal. But break of 1.0693 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming first. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0463 will carry larger bearish implications.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.0482 support holds, rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) should continue to 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273. However, sustained break of 1.0482 will bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1032 at 1.0106, even as a corrective pull back.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0608; (P) 1.0636; (R1) 1.0653; More

A temporary low is in place at 1.0601 in EUR/USD with 4H MACD crossed above signal line. Intraday bias is turned neutral for consolidations first. While stronger recovery cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.0723 support turned resistance. On the downside, break of 1.0601 will resume the decline from 1.1138 to 100% projection of 1.1138 to 1.0694 from 1.0980 at 1.0536 next.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Current fall from 1.1138 is seen as the third leg. While deeper decline is would be seen to 1.0447 and possibly below. Strong support should emerge from 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0199 to complete the correction.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1614; (P) 1.1653; (R1) 1.1724; More

While EUR/USD retreats sharply today, further rise is still in favor as long as 1.1581 minor support holds. Sustained break of 55 day EMA (now at 1.1690) will be a sign that larger correction from 1.2348 has completed. Stronger rally would be seen to 1.1908 resistance for confirmation. On the downside, though, break of 1.1581 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.1523 low instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.2348 should at least be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low). As long as 1.1908 resistance holds, deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289. Nevertheless break of 1.1908 resistance will revive medium term bullishness and turn focus back to 1.2348 high.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0122; (P) 1.0208; (R1) 1.0252; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral and further rise will remain in favor as long as 1.0095 support holds. Rebound from 0.9951 will target 1.0348 support turned resistance. Break there will target channel resistance at 1.0452. On the downside, break of 1.0095 minor support will turn bias back to the downside, and bring retest of 0.9951 low instead.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 0.8694. In any case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0773 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1595; (P) 1.1611; (R1) 1.1634; More…..

At this point, intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral first. As long as 1.1529 minor support holds, another rise cannot be ruled out. However, in that case, we’d continue to expect strong resistance from 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779 to limit upside, at least on first attempt, to bring near term reversal. On the downside, break of 1.1529 minor will indicate completion of the corrective rebound and turn bias to the downside for retesting 1.1300 low. After all, consolidation from 1.1300 will likely extend for a while before completion.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1300, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD and some consolidations would be seen. But still, note that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Thus, we’d expect fall from 1.2555 high to resume after consolidation completes. Below 1.1300 should send EUR/USD through 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. And, in that case, EUR/USD would head to retest 1.0339 (2017 low).

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0561; (P) 1.0668 (R1) 1.0724; More

EUR/USD’s breach of 1.0626 minor support argues that rebound from 1.0348 has completed at 1.0786 already, after multiple rejection by 55 day EMA. Intraday bias is back on the downside for retesting 1.0348 low, and more importantly 1.0339 long term support. On the upside, though, break of 1.0786 will resume the rebound from 1.0348 to 1.1112 fibonacci resistance.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.0339 long term support (2017 low). Decisive break there will resume whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 1.0090. However, firm break of 1.0805 support turned resistance will delay this bearish case. Rise from 1.0348 is at least a correction to the down trend from 1.2348. Stronger rebound would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 to 1.0348 at 1.1112.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0000; (P) 1.0037; (R1) 1.0074; More

EUR/USD’s fall continues today and intraday bias stays on the downside. Firm break of 100% projection of 1.1184 to 1.0348 from 1.0773 at 0.9937 could prompt downside acceleration to 161.8% projection at 0.9420. On the upside, break of 1.0121 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral again. But outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0348 support turned resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 0.8694. In any case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0773 resistance holds, in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1203; (P) 1.1225; (R1) 1.1240; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point. With 1.1285 minor resistance intact, further decline is in favor. Below 1.1209 will target 1.1176 low. Firm break there will resume whole decline from 1.2555. On the upside, however, break of 1.1285 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.1448 instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term weakness was revived as the weak rebound from 1.1176 was rejected well below 55 week EMA and failed to sustain above 55 day EMA. Focus is back on 1.1176 low, with 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.1186. Decisive break there will resume whole down trend from 1.2555. Such decline target 1.0339 low next. On the upside, firm break of 1.1569 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, downside breakout will be in favor.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0973; (P) 1.0995; (R1) 1.1026; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral first and further decline is in favor. On the downside, break of 1.0911 will resume the fall from 1.1274 to 1.0832 support. Sustained trading below there will target 1.0609/34 cluster support. However, firm break of 1.1046 minor resistance will argue that pull back from 1.1274 has completed, and bring stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, a medium term top could be formed at 1.1274, after failing to break through 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 decisively, on bearish divergence condition in D MACD. Sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 1.0966) will bring deeper correction to 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609). Strong support could be seen there, at least on first attempt, to set the range for consolidation.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1855; (P) 1.1876; (R1) 1.1893; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral and outlook is unchanged. A short term bottom was formed at 1.1751. On the upside, above 1.1907 will resume the rebound to 1.1974 resistance first. Firm break there should argue that whole corrective pattern from 1.2348 has completed. On the downside, however, break of 1.1751 will resume the fall from 1.2265 to 1.1703 support instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. Reaction from 1.2555 should reveal underlying long term momentum in the pair. However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0852; (P) 1.0891; (R1) 1.0931; More

Further rise is still expected in EUR/USD with 1.0765 support intact. Above 1.0928 will resume larger rise to 61.8% projection of 0.9630 to 1.0733 from 1.0482 at 1.1164 next. On the downside, though, break of 1.0765 support should now confirm short term topping, and turn bias back to the downside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.0591).

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the rally from 0.9534 low (2022 low) is a medium term up trend rather than a correction. Further rise is in favor to 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 next. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.0482 support holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1332; (P) 1.1371; (R1) 1.1434; More…..

EUR/USD dips notably after failing to sustain above 4 hour 55 EMA. But it’s, after all, staying in range of 1.1270/1496 and intraday bias remains neutral. On the downside, break of 1.1270 revive the bearish case that down trend from 1.2555 is still in progress. EUR/USD should then target 1.1186 key fibonacci level next. On the upside, however, sustained break of 1.1496 will revive the case of near term reversal, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD. Bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.1621 resistance first. Break will target 1.1814 key resistance next.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1814 resistance holds, down trend down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. However, break of 1.1814 will confirm completion of such down trend and turn medium term outlook bullish.

Further decline is still expected with 1.1341 minor resistance intact. We’d holding on to the view that consolidation from 1.1215 has completed. Below 1.1249 will target 1.1215 first. Break will resume larger down trend from 1.2555 to 1.1186 fibonacci level. However, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 1.1341 resistance will dampen out view and suggest short term bottoming. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside to extend the consolidation from 1.1215 with another rising leg.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1814 resistance holds, down trend down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1264; (P) 1.1288; (R1) 1.1309; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral for the moment. On the upside, firm break of 1.1382 resistance should confirm short term bottoming at 1.1186. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.1480). On the downside, break of 1.1185 will resume larger fall from 1.2348.

In the bigger picture, there are various ways of interpreting the fall from 1.2348 (2021 high). It could be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low), the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1703 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 would pave the way back to 1.0635.

But still, it could be the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1482 resistance holds. Next target would be 1.0635 low.

On the downside, break of 1.1176 will extend the down trend from 1.2555 and target 100% projection of 1.1814 to 1.1215 from 1.1569 at 1.0970 next.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress. No change in EUR/USD’s outlook as further rise is expected with 1.1992 minor support intact. Current rally from 1.1703 should target a test on 1.2242/2348 resistance zone. Decisive break there will resume larger up trend from 1.0635. On the downside, though, break of 1.1992, will turn bias to the downside for deeper pull back.

On the upside, decisive break of 1.1298 key resistance will carry larger bullish implication and target 1.1615 resistance next. On the downside, break of 1.1109 support will indicate short term topping and rejection from 1.1298. In such case, intraday bias will be turned to the downside for 1.0838 support.

In the bigger picture, the case for medium term reversal continues to build up with EUR/USD staying far above 55 week EMA (now at 1.0932). Also, bullish convergence condition is seen in weekly MACD. Focus will now be on 1.1298 key resistance. Rejection from there will maintain medium term bearishness and would extend the whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). However, firm break of 1.1298 will indicate reversal. In such case, further rally would be seen back to 1.2042 support turned resistance next.
