EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1623; (P) 1.1664; (R1) 1.1687; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside for 1.1612 support. Break there will confirm resumption of the corrective decline from 1.2011. Further fall should be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2011 at 1.1485. On the upside, above 1.1704 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.1880 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1036; (P) 1.1142; (R1) 1.1202; More

EUR/USD is still staying below 1.1199 resistance and intraday bias remains neutral first. Consolidation from 1.1199 might extend. But as long as 1.1039 support holds, further rise is expected. On the upside, above 1.1199 will turn bias back to the upside for 100% projection of 1.0879 to 1.1179 from 1.0981 at 1.1281 next. However, break of 1.1039 will turn focus back to 1.0981 support instead.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 1.0879 is seen as a corrective move first. In case of another rise, upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0879 at 1.1519. And, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) would resume at a later stage. However, sustained break of 1.1519 will dampen this bearish view and bring stronger rise to 61.8% retracement at 1.1915 next.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2006; (P) 1.2044 (R1) 1.2068; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. Further rise is expected as long as 4 hour 55 EMA (now at 1.1977) holds. Firm break of 1.2091 will confirm medium term rally resumption and target next key fibonacci level at 1.2494/2516. However, sustained break of 4 hour 55 EMA will extend the consolidation pattern from 1.2091 with another decline through 1.1717 support.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Therefore, in case of another rally, we’d be expect 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 to limit upside and bring reversal. That is also close to 61.8% projection of 1.0569 to 1.2091 from 1.1553 at 1.2494.

EUR/USD Daily Chart

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD rose to as high as 1.1347 last week as rebound from 1.1107 accelerated. Initial bias stays on the upside this week for 1.1448 key resistance. Decisive break there will carry larger bullish implications. On the downside, break of 1.1251 minor support, however, will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 1.1107 low.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that a medium term bottom could be in place at 1.1107, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD. Decisive break of 1.1448 resistance would confirm this case. And stronger rebound would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1107 at 1.1660. At this point, it’s early to judge whether rise from 1.1107 is a corrective move or the start of an medium term up trend. We’d look at the structure of the rebound to decide later. But in any case, for now, risk will remain on the upside as long as 1.1107 low holds.

In the long term picture, the rejection from 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 argues that long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) might not be over yet. EUR/USD is also held below decade long trend line resistance, 55 month and 55 week EMA. Break of 1.0339 will resume the down trend to 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2555 at 0.9501

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0970; (P) 1.1011; (R1) 1.1072; More

EUIR/USD rises to as high as 1.1164 so far. Strong break of 61.8% retracement of 1.1239 to 1.0777 at 1.1063 raises the chance of larger bullish reversal. Intraday bias now remains on the upside for 1.1239 resistance. Sustained break there will turn outlook bullish. On the downside, break of 1.1038 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1239 resistance holds, larger down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is still in favor to extend through 1.0777 low. However, sustained break of 1.1239 will also have 55 week EMA (1.1154) decisive taken out. That should confirm medium term bottoming, with bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. Further rise could then be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0777 at 1.1456 next.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1189; (P) 1.1206 (R1) 1.1228; More….

EUR/USD continues to gyrate in range below 1.1284 and intraday bias remains neutral at this point. Focus remains on 1.1298 key resistance. Decisive break there will carry larger bullish implication and target 1.1615 resistance next. On the downside, break of 1.1109 support will indicate short term topping and rejection from 1.1298. In such case, intraday bias will be turned to the downside for 1.0838 support.

In the bigger picture, the case for medium term reversal continues to build up with EUR/USD staying far above 55 week EMA (now at 1.0922). Also, bullish convergence condition is seen in weekly MACD. Focus will now be on 1.1298 key resistance. Rejection from there will maintain medium term bearishness and would extend the whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). However, firm break of 1.1298 will indicate reversal. In such case, further rally would be seen back to 1.2042 support turned resistance next.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1371; (P) 1.1388; (R1) 1.1407; More…..

EUR/USD formed a temporary low at 1.1370 and intraday bias is turned neutral first. But further decline is expected as long as 1.1489 minor resistance holds. We’re holding on to the case that corrective rise from 1.1215 has completed earlier than expected at 1.1569. Deeper fall should be seen to 1.1307 support. Break there will likely resume larger down trend from 1.2555 through 1.1215 low. On the upside, above 1.1489 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.1569 instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1814 resistance holds, down trend down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. However, break of 1.1814 will confirm completion of such down trend and turn medium term outlook bullish.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1555; (P) 1.1612 (R1) 1.1641; More…..

EUR/USD dips to 1.5161 and breached 1.5174 minor support, but quickly recovered. Without committed selling, intraday bias stays neutral first. The consolidation from 1.1509 could extend further. But in case of another rise, upside should be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring fall resumption eventually. On the downside, decisive break of 1.1507 will resume larger down trend from 1.2555 through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0799; (P) 1.0811; (R1) 1.0833; More

EUR/USD retreated after brief rise to 1.0887 and intraday bias is turned neutral first. On the upside, break of 1.0887 will affirm the case that fall from 1.1138 has completed, and target this resistance. However, break of 1.0761 will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 1.0694 support.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is seen as the second leg. While further rally could cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0694 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and possibly below.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD rebounded to 1.1721 last week but failed to take out 1.1733 resistance and retreated sharply. Initial bias is neutral this week first. Rebound from 1.1300 could extend higher. But we’d expect strong resistance from 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779 to limit upside, at least on first attempt, to bring near term reversal. On the downside, break of 1.1525 support will indicate completion of this corrective rebound. Retest of 1.1300 low should then be seen. However, firm break of 1.1779 will extend the rise to 100% projection of 1.1300 to 1.1733 from 1.1525 at 1.1958.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1300, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD and some consolidations would be seen. But still, note that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Thus, we’d expect fall from 1.2555 high to resume after consolidation completes. Below 1.1300 should send EUR/USD through 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. And, in that case, EUR/USD would head to retest 1.0339 (2017 low).

In the long term picture, the rejection from 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 argues that long term down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) might not be over yet. EUR/USD is also held below decade long trend line resistance. Sustained trading below 55 week EMA adds bearishness to the case. Firm break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 should at least bring a retest on 1.0339 low.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1592; (P) 1.1616; (R1) 1.1644; More

EUR/USD is still bounded in consolidation from 1.1561 and intraday bias remains neutral. Upside of recovery should be limited by 1.1682 resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 1.1561 will target 1.1289 medium term fibonacci level. Nevertheless, sustained break of 1.1682 will bring stronger rebound back towards 1.1908 resistance.

In the bigger picture, sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that rise from 1.0635 (2020 low) has completed at 1.2348. Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289. Note also that rejection by 55 week EMA (1.1830) also carries medium term bearish implication. Firm break of 1.1289 will pave the way to retest 1.0635 low. On the upside, though, break of 1.1908 resistance will revive medium term bullishness and turn focus back to 1.2348 high.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0503; (P) 1.0542; (R1) 1.0577; More

Range trading continues in EUR/USD and intraday bias remains neutral. On the downside, break of 1.0442 support will indicate rejection by 1.0609 fibonacci level. Bias will be back on the downside for 1.0222 support and below. However, firm break of 1.0594/0609 resistance zone will carry larger bullish implication. Next near term target is 61.8% projection of 0.9729 to 1.0481 from 1.0222 at 1.0687, and then 100% projection at 1.0974.

In the bigger picture, focus is now on 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.0609. Rejection by 1.0609 will suggest that price actions from 0.9534 medium term bottom are developing into a corrective pattern. Thus, medium bearishness is retained for another fall through 0.9534 at a later stage. However, sustained break of 1.0609 will raise the chance of trend reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 1.1273.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0581; (P) 1.0613; (R1) 1.0636; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral as range trading continues below 1.0733. Further rally is expected as long as 1.0481 resistance turned support holds. Firm break of 61.8% projection of 0.9729 to 1.0481 from 1.0289 at 1.0754 will pave the way to 100% projection at 1.1041. However, firm break of 1.0481 will confirm short term topping and bring deeper fall to 1.0289 support.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 38.2% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.0609.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0067; (P) 1.0159; (R1) 1.0209; More

EUR/USD is staying range above 1.0118 minor support and intraday bias stays neutral first. On the downside, firm break of 1.0118 will suggest that rebound from 0.9951 has completed. Bias will be back on the downside for retesting 0.9951 low. On the upside, above 1.0277 will resume the rebound to 1.0348 support turned resistance.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0339 from 1.2348 at 0.8694. In any case, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0773 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1174; (P) 1.1202; (R1) 1.1243; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral and outlook is unchanged. With 1.1282 intact, further decline is expected. Break of 1.1133 minor support will turn intraday bias back to the downside for 1.1026. Break of 1.1026 will extend the downtrend from 1.2555. Though, break of 1.1282 will turn focus back to 1.1412 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that down trend from 1.2555 (2018) is in progress and extending. Prior rejection of 55 week EMA also maintained bearishness. Further fall should be seen to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Decisive break there will target 1.0339 (2017 low). On the upside, break of 1.1412 resistance is needed to indicate medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1387; (P) 1.1410; (R1) 1.1429; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for the moment. Rebound from 1.1185 is seen as a corrective move. Above 1.1482 will extend the rebound but upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.2265 to 1.1185 at 1.1598. On the downside, below 1.1284 support will bring retest of 1.1185 low. However, sustained break of 1.1598 will argue that the trend is reversing already.

In the bigger picture, there are various ways of interpreting the fall from 1.2348 (2021 high). It could be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low), the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1703 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 would pave the way back to 1.0635.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD dropped sharply to 1.1105 last week but recovered since then. Initial bias is neutral this week first. Further fall is still in favor as long as 1.1287 support turned resistance holds. On the downside, sustained break of 1.1120 will confirm resumption of larger down trend from 1.2348. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.2265 to 1.1120 from 1.1494 at 1.0786. However, firm break of 1.1287 will dampen this bearish view and turn bias back to the upside for 1.1494 resistance.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is seen as a leg inside the range pattern from 1.2555 (2018 high). Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 1.1582) will argue that it has completed and stronger rise would be seen back towards top of the range between 1.2348 and 1.2555. However, firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next.

In the long term picture, in another case, as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 holds, the down trend from 1.6039 could still resume through 1.0339 low. However, sustained trading above 1.2516 will argue that the long term trend has reversed.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1779; (P) 1.1806 (R1) 1.1839; More

EUR/USD is still staying above 1.1716 temporary low and intraday bias stays neutral at this point. Outlook is unchanged that decline from 1.2091 is correcting whole rise from 1.0569. Deeper fall is expected as long as 1.22029 resistance holds. Below 1.1716 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.0569 to 1.2091 at 1.1510, where we’re expecting support to bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, rise from medium term bottom at 1.0339 is not finished yet. It’s expected to continue after pull back from 1.2091 completes. And, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. However, it should be noted that there is no confirmation of trend reversal yet. That is, such rebound from 1.0399 could be a correction. And the long term fall from 1.6039 (2008 high) could resume. Hence, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.2516 to limit upside.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2115; (P) 1.2132; (R1) 1.2150; More

With 1.2087 minor support intact, further rise is in favor to 1.2188 resistance. As noted before, corrective fall from 1.2348 should have completed with three waves down to 1.1951. Break of 1.2188 resistance will bring retest of 1.2348 high. On the downside, below 1.2087 minor support will dampen this bullish case and could extend the correction from 1.2348 with another fall.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds. We’d be alerted to topping sign around 1.2516/55. But sustained break there will carry long term bullish implications.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0811; (P) 1.0857; (R1) 1.0891; More

EUR/USD recovered quickly after dipping to 1.0812. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. On the downside, break of 1.0812 will resume the fall from 1.1138 to 1.0722 support. On the upside, above 1.0931 will turn bias to the upside for stronger rebound towards 1.1138 resistance.

Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.0722 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 1.0447 and below.
