EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1707; (P) 1.1721; (R1) 1.1743; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside with 1.1788 minor resistance intact. Fall from 1.1908 would target 1.1663 support. Firm break there will resume the fall from 1.2265, and the pattern from 1.2348, to 1.1602 key support next. On the upside, above 1.1788 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.1908 again.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally remains in favors long as 1.1602 support holds, to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). However sustained break of 1.1602 will argue that the rise from 1.0635 is over, and turn medium term outlook bearish again. Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 and below.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0673; (P) 1.0695; (R1) 1.0730; More

Range trading continues in EUR/USD and intraday bias stays neutral. Further rally is in favor as long as 55 4H EMA (now at 1.0657) holds. Decisive break of 1.0764 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.1274 to 1.0447 at 1.0763) will extend the rise from 1.0447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.0958 next. However, sustained break of 55 4H EMA will argue that the rebound has completed, and target 1.0515 support, and then 1.0447 low.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Rise from 1.0447 is tentatively seen as the second leg. Hence while further rally could be seen, upside should be limited by 1.1274 to bring the third leg of the pattern.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1632; (P) 1.1676; (R1) 1.1709; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral for consolidation below 1.1733 low. Further rise could still be seen. But for now, we’d continue to expect strong resistance from 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779 to limit upside, at least on first attempt, to bring near term reversal. On the downside, break of 1.1529 minor will indicate completion of the rebound and turn bias to the downside for retesting 1.1300 low. After all, consolidation from 1.1300 will extend for a while before completion.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1300, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD and some consolidations would be seen. But still, note that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Thus, we’d expect fall from 1.2555 high to resume after consolidation completes. Below 1.1300 should send EUR/USD through 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. And, in that case, EUR/USD would head to retest 1.0339 (2017 low).

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1806; (P) 1.1836; (R1) 1.1882; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral and more consolidation could be seen. Still, as long as 1.1762 support holds, another rise is in favor and break of 1.2011 will will resume the whole rise from 1.0635. However, firm break of 1.1762 will confirm short term topping and turn bias to the downside for deeper pull back, to 55 day EMA (now at 1.1632) and below.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has completed at 1.0635 already. Rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1379; (P) 1.1416; (R1) 1.1477; More

EUR/USD’s rebound from 1.1185 is still in progress and intraday bias stays on the upside. Further rise would target 38.2% retracement of 1.2265 to 1.1185 at 1.1598. As we’re tentatively treating is as a corrective move, we’d look for strong resistance from 1.1598 to bring down trend resumption. On the downside, below 1.1284 support will bring retest of 1.1185 low. However, sustained break of 1.1598 will argue that the trend is reversing already.

In the bigger picture, there are various ways of interpreting the fall from 1.2348 (2021 high). It could be a correction to rise from 1.0635 (2020 low), the fourth leg of a sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low), or resuming long term down trend. In any case, outlook will now stay bearish as long as 1.1703 support turned resistance holds. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0635 to 1.2348 at 1.1289 would pave the way back to 1.0635.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1127; (P) 1.1166 (R1) 1.1223; More….

EUR/USD rebounds strongly today but it’s stays below 1.1267 so far. And intraday bias stays neutral first. Nonetheless, pull back from 1.1267 could be completed at 1.1109 already. Break of 1.1267 will resume recent rise. Decisive break of 1.1245/98 (138.2% projection of 1.0339 to 1.0828 from 1.0569 at 1.1245) resistance zone will carry larger bullish implication and target 1.1615 resistance next. In case consolidation from 1.1267 extends with another fall, further rise will remain in favor as long as 1.1020 support holds. But, break of 1.1020 will indicate rejection from 1.1245/98 and turn bias to the downside for 1.0838 support.

In the bigger picture, the case for medium term reversal continues to build up with EUR/USD staying far above 55 week EMA (now at 1.0888). Also, bullish convergence condition is seen in weekly MACD. Focus will now be on 1.1298 key resistance. Rejection from there will maintain medium term bearishness and would extend the whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high). However, firm break of 1.1298 will indicate reversal. In such case, further rally would be seen back to 1.2042 support turned resistance next.

EUR/USD Daily Chart

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1125; (P) 1.1141; (R1) 1.1154; More

After dipping to 1.1101, EUR/USD drew support from 1.1107 low and recovered. With break of 1.1158 minor resistance, intraday bias is turned neutral first. Stronger recovery could be seen. But for now, break of 1.1282 resistance is needed to confirm completion of fall from 1.1412. Otherwise, another decline will remain mildly in favor. Though, firm break of 1.1282 will bring stronger rise to 1.1412 resistance.

In the bigger picture, on the one hand, 1.1107 is seen as a medium term bottom on bullish convergence condition in weekly MACD. On the other hand, rejection by 55 week EMA retains medium term bearishness. Outlook stays neutral for now. On the downside, break of 1.1107 will resume the down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Meanwhile, break of 1.1412 will resume the rebound to 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1107 at 1.1660.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD stayed in consolidation between 1.1185/1382 last week and outlook is unchanged. Further decline will remain in favor as long as 1.1382 resistance holds. Break of 1.1185 will resume larger decline from 1.2348. Next target is 161.8% projection of 1.2265 to 1.1663 from 1.1908 at 1.0934. On the upside, firm break of 1.1382 resistance should confirm short term bottoming at 1.1186. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.1432).

In the long term picture, EUR/USD has possibly failed 1.2555 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516) again. Long term outlook will remain neutral as sideway pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low) is extending with another medium term fall. For now, we’d hold back from assessing the chance of downside breakout, and monitor the momentum of the decline from 1.2348 first.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1194; (P) 1.1222; (R1) 1.1241; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside at this point. Fall from 1.1448 is in progress for 1.1176 low. Firm break there will resume whole decline from 1.2555. On the upside, however, break of 1.1273 support turned resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.1448 instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term weakness was revived as the weak rebound from 1.1176 was rejected well below 55 week EMA and failed to sustain above 55 day EMA. Focus is back on 1.1176 low, with 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.1186. Decisive break there will resume whole down trend from 1.2555. Such decline target 1.0339 low next. On the upside, firm break of 1.1569 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, downside breakout will be in favor.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1212; (P) 1.1247 (R1) 1.1291; More….

EUR/USD dips mildly against but it’s still bounded in range above 1.1109 support. Intraday bias remains neutral with focus on 1.1298 key resistance level. Decisive break of 1.1298 will carry larger bullish implication and target 1.1615 resistance next. However, break of 1.1109 will indicate short term topping and rejection from 1.1298. In that case, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.0838 support first.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2204; (P) 1.2305 (R1) 1.2364; More….

EUR/USD drops to as low as 1.2245 so far. Downside acceleration as seen in 4 hour MACD is raising the chance of trend reversal. But we’d prefer to see decisive break of 1.2222 support to confirm. Sustained break of 1.2222 will indicate rejection from 1.2494/2516 key fibonacci level, on bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD. That could also signal completion of medium term up trend from 1.0339. In that case, near term outlook will be turned bearish for 1.2091 resistance turned support first.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. But key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 is looking vulnerable. Sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862. Nonetheless, rejection from 1.2516 will maintain long term bearish outlook and keep the case for retesting 1.0039 alive.

Focus is now on 1.0800 minor support in EUR/USD with today’s extended pull back. Considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, firm break of 1.0800 will confirm short term topping at 1.1032. Intraday bias will then be turned back to the downside for 1.0482 support, which is close to 38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1032.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the rally from 0.9534 low (2022 low) is a medium term up trend rather than a correction. Further rise is in favor to 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 next. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.0482 support holds.

Strong support should be seen around there to bring rebound, at least on first attempt. But break of 1.0803 is need to indicate completion of the correction. Otherwise, risk will stay on the downside in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, the rally from 0.9534 low (2022 low) is a medium term up trend rather than a correction. Further rise is in favor to 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 next. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.0482 support holds.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD surged to as high as 1.2177 last week as rise from 1.0635 resumed through 1.2011 resistance. As a temporary top was formed, initial bias is neutral this week for some consolidations first. Downside of retreat should be contained by 1.2003 support to bring another rise. On the upside, break of 1.2177 will target 61.8% projection of 1.0635 to 1.2011 from 1.1602 at 1.2452 next.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally could be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1602 support holds.

In the long term picture, the case of long term bullish reversal continues to build up, with bullish convergence condition in monthly MACD, sustained trading above 55 month EMA and long trend falling trend line. Focus is now on 1.2555 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). Decisive break there will confirm and target 61.8% retracement at 1.3862 and above.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0869; (P) 1.0903 (R1) 1.0932; More

EUR/USD is losing some downside momentum as seen in 4 hour MACD, but further decline is expected with 1.0987 minor resistance intact. Deeper decline would be seen to 1.0805 low. Firm break there will resume larger down trend from 1.2248. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.1494 to 1.0805 from 1.1184 at 1.0758, and then 100% projection at 1.0495. On the upside, above 1.0987 minor resistance will mix up the outlook and bring recovery.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is expected to continue as long as 1.1494 resistance holds. Firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next. Nevertheless, break of 1.1494 will maintain medium term neutral outlook, and extending term range trading first.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0631; (P) 1.0672 (R1) 1.0694; More…..

EUR/USD’s break of 1.0630 support mixed up the near term outlook mildly and intraday bias stays is turned back to the downside for retesting 1.0494 low. And in such case, deeper decline should be seen to retest 1.0339. Meanwhile, above 1.0713 will turn bias back to the upside for 1.0828 and above to extend the correction from 1.0339.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1298 key resistance holds, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still expected to continue. Break of 1.0339 low will send EUR/USD through parity to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115.

EUR/USD surges to as high as 1.1540 so far in early US session. The strong break of 1.1499 resistance should confirm completion of fall from 1.1814 at 1.1215. Current rebound might indeed be correcting whole decline from 1.2555, if not reversing the down trend. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 1.1621 resistance first. Break will target 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1215 at 1.1727 next. On the downside, break of 1.1422 support is needed to indicate completion of the rebound. Otherwise, further rise will now remain in favor in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1814 resistance holds, down trend down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. However, break of 1.1814 will confirm completion of such down trend and turn medium term outlook bullish.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is in progress. Prior rejection of 55 week EMA also maintained bearishness. Further fall should be seen to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Decisive break there will target 1.0339 (2017 low). On the upside, break of 1.1412 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1548; (P) 1.1588; (R1) 1.1635; More…..

On the downside, break of 1.1422 resistance turned support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will remain bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, sustained trading above 1.1496 key resistance will argue that whole down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has completed at 1.0635. Rise from 1.0635 would then be seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339. Further medium term rally would be seen to retest 1.2555. EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1010; (P) 1.1036; (R1) 1.1051; More

EUR/USD’s fall from 1.1239 is in progress and intraday bias stays on the downside for 1.0981 support. break there should confirm completion of corrective rise from 1.0879 at 1.1239. Further fall should then be seen to retest 1.0879 low. On the upside, above 1.1061 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.1172 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 1.0879 is seen as a corrective move at this point. In case of another rise, upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.0879 at 1.1519. And, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) would resume at a later stage. However, sustained break of 1.1519 will dampen this bearish view and bring stronger rise to 61.8% retracement at 1.1915 next.
