GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3032; (P) 1.3071; (R1) 1.3091; More….

No change in GBP/USD’s outlook as it’s staying in consolidation from 1.3381. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. Further rally remains mildly in favor with 1.2960 support intact. On the upside, decisive break of 1.3381 will extend the rise from 1.2391 and target 61.8% retracement of 1.4376 to 1.2391 at 1.3618 next. However, on the downside, sustained break of 1.2960 will indicate that rebound from 1.2391 has completed earlier than expected. Deeper fall would then be seen to 1.2773 support for confirmation.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.4376 (2018 high) should have completed at 1.2391. Rise from 1.2391 is seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.1946 (2016 low). Further rise could be seen through 1.4376 in medium term. On the downside, though, break of 1.2773 support will dampen this view. Focus will be turned back to 1.2391 low and break will resume the fall from 1.4376 to 1.1946.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2611; (P) 1.2639; (R1) 1.2657; More…

No change in GBP/USD’s outlook as consolidation continues above 1.2574. Intraday bias stays neutral and risk remains on the downside as long as 55 4H EMA (now at 1.2675) holds. Below 1.2574 will resume the fall from 1.2892 to 1.2517 structural support first. Decisive break there will suggest that rise from 1.2036 has completed at 1.2892 already, and turn near term outlook bearish.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.3141 medium term top are seen as a corrective pattern to up trend from 1.0351 (2022 low). Rise from 1.2036 is seen as the second leg, which might still be in progress. But upside should be limited by 1.3141 to bring the third leg of the pattern. Meanwhile, break of 1.2517 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 (2022 low) to 1.3141 at 1.2075 again.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2531; (P) 1.2576; (R1) 1.2593; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays neutral as consolidation continues above 1.2546. Near term outlook remains mildly bearish as long as 1.2799 resistance holds. On the downside, break of 1.2546 will resume whole fall from 1.3141 to 61.8% projection of 1.3141 to 1.2618 from 1.2799 at 1.2476. Firm break there could prompt downside acceleration to 100% projection at 1.2276.

In the bigger picture, for now, fall from 1.3141 medium term top is seen as a correction to up trend from 1.0351 (2022 low). Deeper decline would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 to 1.3141 at 1.2075. Strong support would be seen there to bring rebound on first attempt. But outlook will be neutral at best as long as 1.3141 resistance holds, and consolidation from there is set to extend, until further development.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2504; (P) 1.2554; (R1) 1.2654; More….

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains mildly on the upside at this point, for retesting 1.2813 short term top. Firm break there will resume larger rise from 1.1409. On the downside, though, sustained break of 55 day EMA will argue that whole rebound from 1.1409 has completed. In this case, deeper decline would be seen to 1.2065 support for confirmation.

In the bigger picture, while the rebound from 1.1409 is strong, there is not enough evidence for rend reversal yet. Down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high) should still resume sooner or later. However, decisive break of 1.3514 should at least confirm medium term bottoming and turn outlook bullish for 1.4376 resistance first.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2056; (P) 1.2116; (R1) 1.2196; More

GBP/USD is staying in consolidation above 1.2036 and intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.2270 resistance holds. Break of 1.2026 will resume the fall from 1.3141. Sustained trading below 1.2075 fibonacci level would carry larger bearish implication, and target 1.1801 support next. On the upside, firm break of 1.2270 resistance will indicate short term bottoming, and turn bias back to the upside.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.3141 medium term top could still be a correction to up trend from 1.0351 (2022 low) only. But risk of complete trend reversal is rising. Sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 to 1.3141 at 1.2075 will pave the way to 61.8% retracement at 1.1417. For now, risk will stay on the downside as long as 55 D EMA (now at 1.2486) holds, in case of rebound.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2009; (P) 1.2072; (R1) 1.2110; More

Outlook in GBP/USD remains unchanged and intraday bias stays neutral. Another decline is in favor with 1.2269 resistance intact. On the downside, break of 1.1914 will resume the fall from 1.2446, as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.2445, to 1.1840 support and possibly below. Nevertheless, firm break of 1.2269 will bring retest of 1.2445/6 resistance.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0351 medium term bottom is at least correcting whole down trend from 1.4248 (2021 high). Further rise is expected as long as 1.1644 resistance turned support holds. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.4248 to 1.0351 at 1.2759. Sustained break there will pave the way back to 1.4248.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3878; (P) 1.3944; (R1) 1.3991; More….

Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays on the downside for the moment. Current fall from 1.4248 is seen as the third leg of the consolidation pattern from 1.4240. Deeper decline would be seen to 1.3668/3800 support zone. On the upside, above 1.4007 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring recovery first, before staging another decline.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.3482 resistance turned support holds, up trend from 1.1409 should still continue. Decisive break of 1.4376 resistance will carry larger bullish implications and target 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 (2007 high) to 1.1409 (2020 low) at 1.5134. However, firm break of 1.3482 support will argue that the rise from 1.1409 has completed and bring deeper fall to 1.2675 support and below.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1766; (P) 1.1862; (R1) 1.1961; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral as consolidation from 1.2028 is extending. Further rise is expected as long as 1.1644 resistance turned support holds. On the upside, break of 1.2028 will resume whole rise from 1.0351 to 100% projection of 1.0351 to 1.1494 from 1.1145 at 1.2288. However, sustained break of 1.1644 will bring deeper fall to 1.1145 support instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0351 medium term bottom is at least correcting whole down trend from 1.4248 (2021 high). Further rise is expected as long as 1.1145 support holds. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 1.4248 to 1.0351 at 1.2759.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2707; (P) 1.2767; (R1) 1.2809; More

GBP/USD is still bounded in consolidation from 1.2847 and intraday bias stays neutral. On the upside, firm break of 1.2847 will resume larger up trend and target 100% projection of 1.1801 to 1.2678 from 1.2306 at 1.3183 next. However, firm break of 1.2628 will turn bias to the downside, for deeper fall to 1.2306 support instead.

In the bigger picture, the strong support from 55 W EMA (now at 1.2345) is a medium term bullish sign. Outlook will stay bullish as long as 1.2306 support holds. Rise from 1.0351 medium term bottom (2022 low) is expected to extend further to retest 1.4248 key resistance (2021 high).

GBP/USD Weekly Outlook

GBP/USD’s rebound from 1.3601 extended high last week but stayed below 1.3785 resistance. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. On the upside. Break of 1.3785 will turn bias to the upside for 1.3982 resistance. Firm break there will indicate that fall from 1.4248 has completed and bring retest of this high. On the downside, below 1.3601 will resume the fall from 1.4248 to 1.3482 resistance turned support next.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that rise from 1.1409 (2020 low) has completed at 1.4248, after failing 1.4376 resistance. Fall from there could either be correcting the rise form 1.1409, or starting another falling leg inside long term sideway pattern. In either case, sustained break of 1.3482 resistance turned support will target 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164 first. Break there will pave the way to 61.8% retracement at 1.2493.

In the longer term picture, a long term bottom should be in place at 1.1409, on bullish convergence condition in monthly MACD. Rise from there would target 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 to 1.1409 at 1.5134. Reaction from there would reveal whether rise from 1.1409 is just a correction, or developing into a long term up trend.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3005; (P) 1.3028; (R1) 1.3047; More

GBP/USD is staying in consolidation below 1.3125 temporary top. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Another rise would be seen as long as 1.2811 support holds. Break of 1.3125 will target 61.8% projection of 1.2108 to 1.3047 from 1.2588 at 1.3168. Overall, choppy rebound from 1.1946 is seen as a corrective pattern, hence, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.3168 to limit upside. But firm break of 1.3168 will bring further rise towards 1.3444 key resistance. Meanwhile, break of 1.2811 support will be the first sign of reversal and will turn bias to the downside to target 1.2588 key support next.

In the bigger picture, overall, price actions from 1.1946 medium term low are seen as a corrective pattern that is still in progress. While further upside is expected, overall outlook remains bearish as long as 1.3444 key resistance holds. Larger down trend from 1.7190 is expected to resume later after the correction completes. And break of 1.2588 will indicate that such down trend is resuming.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2668; (P) 1.2711; (R1) 1.2746; More

GBP/USD is staying in established range despite today’s recovery. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. On the downside, firm break of 1.2618, and sustained trading below 1.2678 resistance turned support will argue that it’s already in a larger correction. Deeper decline would then be seen to 1.2306 support next. Nevertheless, break of 1.2817 minor resistance will indicate that the pull back has completed, and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, a medium term top could be in place at 1.3141 already, on bearish divergence condition in D MACD. Sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 1.2723) should confirm this case, and bring deeper fall to 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 to 1.3141 at 1.2075, as a correction to up trend from 1.0351 (2022 low). For now, rise will stay mildly on the downside as long as 1.3141 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1893; (P) 1.2006; (R1) 1.2070; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains neutral and further rally is expected with 1.1777 support intact. Break of 1.2152will target 100% projection of 1.0351 to 1.1494 from 1.1145 at 1.2288 first. Sustained break there will pave the way to 1.2759 medium term fibonacci level.

Sustained break there will pave the way back to 1.4248.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2471; (P) 1.2589; (R1) 1.2659; More…

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains on the downside at this point. Decisive break of 1.2517 support will carry larger bearish implication. Next near term target will be 61.8% projection of 1.2892 to 1.2538 from 1.2708 at 1.2489. Firm break there could trigger downside acceleration to 100% projection at 1.2354. On the upside, above 1.2581 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.2708 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

Meanwhile, firm break of 1.2517 support will argue that the third leg has already started for 38.2% retracement of 1.0351 (2022 low) to 1.3141 at 1.2075 again.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2866; (P) 1.2898; (R1) 1.2949; More…..

Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays neural and fall from 1.3482 will remain in favor to extend as long as 1.3007 resistance holds. On the downside, sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.3482 at 1.2690 will argue that the rise from 1.1409 might be completed, and bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.2201. Nevertheless, on the upside, firm break of 1.3007 resistance will suggest that decline from 1.3482 is merely a corrective move and has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.3482.

In the bigger picture, while the rebound from 1.1409 was strong, it’s limited by both 1.3514 resistance, as well as 55 month EMA (now at 1.3310). The development keeps outlook bearish. Sustained break of 55 week EMA (now at 1.2756) will add to medium term bearishness for a new low below 1.1409 at a later stage, resuming the down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high).

GBP/USD Weekly Outlook

GBP/USD edged lower to 1.2439 last week but recovered since then. Initial bias remains neutral this week for some more consolidations. Upside should be limited below 1.2783 resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 1.2439 would resume the decline from 1.3381 to retest 1.2391 low. Firm break there will resume larger down trend.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.4376 (2018 high) is still in progress. Break of 1.2391 would target a test on 1.1946 long term bottom (2016 low). For now, we don’t expect a firm break there yet. Hence, focus will be on bottoming signal as it approaches 1.1946. In any case, medium term outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.3381 resistance holds, in case of strong rebound.

In the longer term picture, consolidative pattern from 1.1946 (2016 low) could still extend with another rising leg. But after all, decisive break of 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 (2007 high) to 1.1946 at 1.5466 is needed to indicate long term reversal. Otherwise, an eventual downside breakout will remain in favor.

GBP/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3464; (P) 1.3496; (R1) 1.3557; More

Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays neutral with focus on 1.3523 minor resistance. Further fall is still in favor with 1.3523 intact. Break of 1.3356 will resume the decline from 1.3748 to retest 1.3158 low, as part of the down trend form 1.4248. However, firm break of 1.3523 minor resistance will dampen this bearish case and turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.3748.

In the bigger picture, as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164 holds, up trend from 1.1409 (2020 low) is still in progress. On resumption, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 to 1.1409 at 1.5134. Nevertheless sustained break of 1.3164 will argue that whole rise from 1.1409 has completed and bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.2493.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3018; (P) 1.3057; (R1) 1.3101; More….

Intraday bias in GBP/USD remains on the upside for the moment and further rise could be seen for 1.3149/74 resistance zone (38.2% retracement of 1.4376 to 1.2391 at 1.3149). At this point, we’d still expect strong resistance from there to limit upside, at least on first attempt. On the downside, below 1.3012 minor support will turn intraday bias back to the downside for 1.2814 resistance turned support first. However, firm break of 1.3149/74 will pave the way to 61.8% retracement at 1.3618.

In the bigger picture, whole medium term rebound from 1.1946 (2016 low) should have completed at 1.4376 already, after rejection from 55 month EMA. The structure and momentum of the fall from 1.4376 argues that it’s resuming long term down trend from 2.1161 (2007 high). And this will remain the preferred case as long as 1.3174 structural resistance holds. GBP/USD should target a test on 1.1946 first. Decisive break there will confirm our bearish view. However, sustained break of 1.3174 will invalidate this case and turn outlook bullish.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1886; (P) 1.2046; (R1) 1.2158; More

A temporary low is formed at 1.1932, after hitting 61.8% projection of 1.3297 to 1.2154 from 1.2666 at 1.1960. Intraday bias in GBP/USD is turned neutral first. But outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.2666 resistance holds. Sustained break of 1.1932/600 will target 100% projection at 1.1523 next.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.4248 (2018 high) could be a leg inside the pattern from 1.1409 (2020 low), or resuming the longer term down trend. Deeper decline is expected as long as 1.2666 resistance holds. On resumption, next target is 1.1409 low.

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

GBP/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3858; (P) 1.3887; (R1) 1.3935; More….

GBP/USD’s break of 1.3929 indicates resumption of rebound from 1.3711. The break of near term trend line resistance suggests that corrective pull back from 1.4345 has completed at 1.3711 already. Intraday bias is back to the upside for 1.4144 resistance first. Break should confirm this bullish case and target 1.4345 high and above. On the downside, below 1.3780 minor support will turn bias to the downside to extend the corrective fall from 1.4345 instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.3038 support holds, medium term outlook in GBP/USD will remains bullish. Rise from 1.1946 is at least correcting the long term down from 2007 high at 2.1161. Further rally would be seen back to 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 (2007 high) to 1.1946 (2016 low) at 1.5466. However, GBP/USD fails to sustain above 55 month EMA (now at 1.4259) so far. Break of 1.3038 support, will suggest that rise from 1.1946 has completed and will turn outlook bearish for retesting this low.
