USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0048; (P) 1.0134; (R1) 1.0182; More…..

USD/CHF is still staying in the consolidation pattern from 1.0342 and intraday bias remains neutral. Deeper fall cannot be ruled out. But we’d expect strong support from 1.0019 to contain downside and bring rally resumption. Firm break of 1.0342 will confirm up trend resumption. However, firm break of 1.0019 will indicate near term reversal and could bring deeper fall bring to 0.9443/9548 support zone.

In the bigger picture, the corrective fall from 1.0327 should have completed at 0.9443 already. Rise from 0.9443 could be resuming the long term rally from 2011 low at 0.7065. But decisive break of 1.0327 is needed to confirm. In that case, next medium term upside target will be 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359. Rejection from 1.0327 will extend the sideway pattern with another fall back to 0.9443/9548 support zone.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9726; (P) 0.9798; (R1) 0.9836; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral first but further rally is expected as long as 0.9691 support holds. On the upside, break of 0.9884 resistance will argue that larger up trend is ready to resume through 1.0063 high. On the downside, however, break of 0.9691 minor support will dampen this view and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9369 support instead.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that up trend from 0.8756 (2021 low) is still in progress. Sustained break of 1.0063 will target 100% projection of 0.9149 to 1.0063 from 0.9369 at 1.0283, and then 1.0342 (2016 high). For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.9369 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8599; (P) 0.8625; (R1) 0.8654; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays on the downside for 0.8551 support. Strong support could be seen there to bring rebound. Break of 0.8650 minor resistance will indicate short term bottoming, and turn bias back to the upside for 0.8819 resistance. However, sustained break of 0.8551 could trigger downside acceleration to 100% projection of 0.9111 to 0.8665 from 0.8819 at 0.8373.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8551 are currently seen as a corrective pattern to the decline from 1.0146 (2022 high). Fall from 0.9243 is seen as the second leg for now. Strong support should be seen 0.8551 to bring rebound. Meanwhile, break of 0.8819 resistance will argue that the third leg has started already, and target 0.9243. However, firm break of 0.8551 will confirm resumption of larger down trend from 1.0146 instead.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9916; (P) 0.9938; (R1) 0.9960; More

USD/CHF’s recovery from 0.9854 extends higher today but outlook is unchanged. We’d still expect upside to be limited by 1.0008 support turned resistance and bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 0.9854 will extend the decline from 1.0237 to 0.9716 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9712). However, sustained break of 1.0008 will indicate short term bottoming and bring stronger rise back to 1.0098 resistance first.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF’s break of long term trend line support is the first indication of medium term reversal. Focus is now back on 0.9879 support. Sustained break should confirm that medium term up trend from 0.9186 has completed at 1.0237 already. Further fall should be seen to 0.9716 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9712) next. Break will target 61.8% retracement at 0.9587.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9336; (P) 0.9369; (R1) 0.9414; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as consolidation from 0.9181 continues. Upside of recovery should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 0.9484 to 0.9181 at 0.9436 down trend resumption. On the downside, break of 0.9181 will target 200% projection of 1.0023 to 0.9613 from 0.9848 at 0.9028 next. However, firm break of 0.9436 will bring stronger rebound to 61.8% retracement at 0.9593.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that decline from 1.0237 is the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high). Focus will be on 100% projection 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.9081. Sustained break there will argue that USD/CHF is in a long term down trend, which would target 138.2% projection at 0.8639 next. For now, outlook will remain bearish as long as 0.9613 support turned resistance holds, in case of rebound.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8924; (P) 0.8948; (R1) 0.8980; More….

USD/CHF’s rally from 0.8551 continues today and intraday bias stays on the upside. Further rise should be seen to 0.9146 cluster resistance. On the downside, though, break of 0.8893 support will indicate short term topping, and turn bias to the downside for deeper pullback.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 0.8551 medium term bottom is currently seen as a correction to the downtrend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Further rally would be seen to 0.9146 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 at 0.9160). Strong resistance could be seen there to limit upside, at least on first attempt.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9177; (P) 0.9190; (R1) 0.9209; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as range trading continues. On the downside, sustained break of the 55 day EMA (now at 0.9131)will affirm the case that rebound from 0.8925 has completed at 0.9273. Deeper fall would then be seen back to retest 0.8925 low. On the upside, however, break of 0.9273 and sustained trading above 61.8% retracement of 0.9471 to 0.8925 at 0.9262 will target 0.9471 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook is currently neutral with focus on 0.9471 resistance. Sustained break there will indicate completion of whole decline from 1.0342 (2016 high). Medium term outlook will be turned bullish for a test on 1.0342 high. But, rejection by 0.9471 again will revive bearishness for another fall through 0.8756 low.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9366; (P) 0.9455; (R1) 0.9517; More

A temporary low is formed at 0.9369 in USD/CHF and intraday bias is turned neutral for some consolidations. Upside of recovery should be limited below 0.9648 resistance to bring another decline. Break of 0.9369 will resume larger fall to 100% projection of 0.9884 to 0.9468 from 0.9648 at 0.9232.

In the bigger picture, break of 0.9471 support turned resistance argues that medium term up trend from 0.8756 has completed with three waves up to 1.0063. Long term sideway pattern might have started another falling leg. Deeper decline would now be in favor as long as 0.9648 resistance holds, to 0.9149 structural support. Sustained break there could pave the way back to 0.8756.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9583; (P) 0.9663; (R1) 0.9716; More

USD/CHF is staying in range of 0.9594/9772 and intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Outlook is a bit mixed as the pair is bounded inside medium term falling channel. The pair was also limited below 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9783. Firm break of 0.9594 will dampen our bullish view and turn bias back to the downside for 0.9437. This could also extend the fall through 1.0342 through 0.9437/43 key support level. On the upside, above 0.9772 will revive the bullish case of reversal and turn bias back to the upside.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that USD/CHF has successfully defended 0.9443 key support level. And long term range trading in 0.9443/1.0342 is extending with another rise. At this point, there is no sign of an up trend yet. Hence, while further rise is expected in USD/CHF, we’ll start to be cautious on loss of momentum above 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9437 at 0.9996.

USD/CHF Daily Chart

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9159; (P) 0.9221; (R1) 0.9276; More

With 0.9261 minor resistance intact, intraday bias in USD/CHF stays mildly on the downside. Current decline from 1.0146 should target 100% projection of 0.9545 to 0.9199 from 0.9407 at 0.9061 next. On the upside, above 0.9261 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But outlook will remain bearish as long as 0.9407 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.8756 (2021 low) has completed at 1.0146, well ahead of 1.0342 long term resistance (2016 high). Based on current downside momentum, fall from 1.0146 should be a medium term down trend itself. Next target is a test on 0.8756 low. Strong support should be seen there to bring rebound. Still, further decline will now be expected as long as 0.9407 resistance holds, in any case.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0176; (P) 1.0206; (R1) 1.0229; More

USD/CHF recovers mildly in early US session but stays below 1.0237 temporary top. Intraday bias remains neutral and more consolidation could be seen. In case of another retreat, downside should be contained by 1.0130 minor support to bring rise resumption. Prior break of 1.0128 resistance confirmed resumption of up trend from 0.9186. On the upside, above 1.0237 will target 100% projection of 0.9716 to 1.0124 from 0.9879 at 1.0287, and then 1.0342 key resistance. However, break of 1.0130 will indicate short term topping and bring deeper retreat first.

In the bigger picture, medium term up trend from 0.9186 is extending. Current rise should target 1.0342 resistance next. For now, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside, until we see medium term upside acceleration. On the downside, break of 0.9879 support is needed to indicate reversal. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish in case of deep pull back.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9943; (P) 0.9969; (R1) 1.0013; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral first, with focus on 1.0008 support turned resistance. As long as 1.0008 holds, further decline is still expected. Sustained break of 0.9836 fibonacci level should confirm medium term reversal. However, break of 1.0008 will indicate completion of fall from 1.0237 and turn bias to the upside.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF’s break of long term trend line support is the first indication of medium term reversal. That is, rise from 0.9186 (2018 low) could have completed at 1.0237 already). Sustained break of 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9836 will confirm and target 61.8% retracement at 0.9587. However, strong rebound from 0.9836 will revive medium term bullishness for 1.0237 and above.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9913; (P) 0.9929; (R1) 0.9951; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point. On the downside, break of 0.9855 will extend the corrective pattern from 1.0056 with another fall. Intraday bias would be turned to the downside for 0.9787 and below. But downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 to bring rebound. On the upside, firm break of 0.9991 will target a test on 1.0056 high.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.9186 is seen as a leg inside the long term range pattern. For now, further rise is expected as long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds. Above 1.0056 will target 1.0342 (2016 high). In that case, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. However, sustained break of 0.9724 will dampen this bullish view and would at least bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 0.9518.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9841; (P) 0.9896; (R1) 0.9933; More

USD/CHF is staying in consolidation from 0.9854 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Stronger recovery could be seen but upside should be limited by 1.0008 support turned resistance and bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 0.9854 will extend the decline from 1.0237 to 0.9716 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9712).

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9059; (P) 0.9095; (R1) 0.9140; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF is turned neutral against as it recovers well ahead of 0.8998 low. On the downside, break there will resume larger down trend. Nevertheless, break of 0.9200 will resume the rebound towards 38.2% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8998 at 0.9343.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low), which is still extending. Sustained trading below 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.9081 will pave the way to 138.2% projection at 0.8639. On the upside, break of 0.9376 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9549; (P) 0.9577; (R1) 0.9601; More

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook. Strong support is still expected at 61.8% retracement of 0.9193 to 1.0063 at 0.9525 to complete the pull back from 1.0063. On the upside, above 0.9763 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.0063 high. However, sustained break of 0.9525 will bring deeper decline to 0.9193 support.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0342 (2016 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.8756 (2021 low) already. Rise from 0.8756 is likely a medium term up trend of its own. Next target is 1.0237/0342 resistance zone. This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9471 resistance turned support holds. However, sustained break of 0.9471 will extend long term range trading with another falling leg.

USD/JPY Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 147.33; (P) 147.92; (R1) 148.75; More…

Intraday bias in USD/JPY is turned neutral first with 4H MACD crossed below signal line. Some consolidations would be seen first. But retreat should be contained above 144.34 support to bring another rally. Break of 148.51 temporary top will resume the rise from 140.25 to retest 151.89/93 key resistance zone.

In the bigger picture, stronger than expected rebound from 140.25 dampened the original bearish review. Strong support from 55 W EMA (now at 141.89) is also a medium term bullish sign. Fall from 151.89 could be a correction to rise from 127.20 only. Decisive break of 151.89/93 will confirm resumption of long term up trend. This will now be the favored case as long as 140.25 support holds.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9073; (P) 0.9096; (R1) 0.9113; More….

With 0.9180 minor resistance intact, further fall is expected in USD/CHF. Decline from 0.9471 will target 61.8% retracement of 0.8756 to 0.9471 at 0.9029. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 0.8756 low. On the upside, break of 0.9180 minor resistance will indicate short term bottoming and bring stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 61.8% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9464 argues that rebound from 0.8756 was probably just a corrective move. That is, larger down trend from 1.0237 might be still in progress. We’ll monitor the downside momentum of the decline from 0.9471, to assess the chance of breakthrough 0.8756 low at a later stage.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9800; (P) 0.9824; (R1) 0.9841; More

With 0.9908 minor resistance intact, further decline is expected in USD?CHF for retesting 0.9695 low first. Break will resume whole decline from 1.0237. On the upside, break of 0.9908 resistance will likely resume the rebound from 0.9695, through 0.9951, to 1.0014 resistance.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 0.9186 (2018 low) should have completed at 1.0237 already. Deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587 and below. For now, USD/CHF is seen as in long term range pattern between 0.9186 and 1.0342. Hence, we’d pay attention to bottoming signal below 0.9587. However, sustained break of 1.0014 will revive medium term bullishness and turn focus back to 1.0237 high.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9850; (P) 0.9881; (R1) 0.9915; More….

Focus remains on 0.9835 resistance turned support in USD/CHF. Decisive break there will argue that whole rebound form 0.9420 is completed and turn outlook bearish. In that case, USD/CHF should target 61.8% retracement of 0.9420 to 1.0037 at 0.9565 and possibly below. Nonetheless strong rebound from 0.9835 will retain near term bullishness. And, break of 1.0047 will extend the rise from 0.9420 and target 1.0342 high.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could is a medium term up move and should target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9736 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.
