USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9197; (P) 0.9221; (R1) 0.9268; More….

Outlook in USD/CHF is unchanged and intraday bias stays neutral first. On the downside, below 0.9156 will target 0.9084 support. Firm break there should confirm that choppy rise from 0.8925 has completed, and suggests that fall from 0.9471 is resuming. Deeper decline would be seen through 0.8925. On the upside, break of 0.9293 will suggest that the pull back from 0.9372 is finished. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 0.9372.

In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not complete yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We’d pay attention to the downside momentum and assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9879; (P) 0.9922; (R1) 0.9983; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside despite some loss of momentum. Further rally should be seen to 261.8% projection of 0.9149 to 0.9459 from 0.9193 at 1.0005 next. On the downside, break of 0.9708 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0342 (2016 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.8756 (2021 low) already. Rise from 0.8756 is likely a medium term up trend of its own. Sustained trading above 100% projection of 0.8756 to 0.9471 from 0.9149 at 0.9864 will pave the way to 161.8% projection at 1.0306, which is close to 1.0342 (2016 high). This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9459 resistance turned support holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9736; (P) 0.9773; (R1) 0.9801; More…..

USD/CHF drops to as low as 0.9700 so far and there is no sign of bottoming yet. The decline came deeper than we expected. Intraday bias is staying on the downside for 161.8% projection of 1.0067 to 0.9866 from 0.9981 at 0.9656 next. On the upside, above 0.9744 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But outlook will now stay bearish as long as 0.9866 support turned resistance holds. And deeper fall will remain in favor even in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that rise from 0.9186 low has completed at 1.0067, after failing to sustain above 1.0037 resistance. Fall from 1.0067 could extend to 61.8% retracement of 0.9816 to 1.0067 at 0.9523 and below. But for now, we don’t expect a break of 0.9186 low. On the upside, firm break of 1.0067 will resume the rise to 1.0342 key resistance (2016 high).

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s decline last week argues that corrective recovery from 0.8818 has completed at 0.9146 already. For now, risk will stay on the downside as long as 0.9146 resistance holds. Deeper decline could be seen to 0.8818 support and possibly below. But strong support is still needed at around 0.8756 long term support to bring another rebound.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is seen as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high), which might have completed at 0.8818 already, just ahead of 0.8756 long term support. Sustained trading above 0.9058 support turned resistance should confirm medium term bottoming. Further break of 0.9439 resistance will confirm bullish trend reversal.

In the long term picture, long term sideway pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high) is expected to continue between 0.8756/1.0342. However, sustained break of 0.8756 will open up deeper fall back towards 0.7065 (2011 low).

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9287; (P) 0.9311; (R1) 0.9355; More….

USD/CHF’s rise from 0.9084 resumes by breaking 0.9328. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 0.9367 resistance. Break there will resume whole choppy rise form 0.8925 to 0.9471 key resistance. On the downside, break of 0.9248 support is needed to indicate near term topping. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in case of retreat.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF edged lower to 0.8984 last week but recovered since then. Initial bias remains neutral this week first and some more consolidations could be seen. But outlook stay bearish as long as 0.9163 resistance holds. On the downside, break of 0.8984 will resume the fall from 0.9471 to retest 0.8756 low.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 61.8% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9464 argues that rebound from 0.8756 was probably just a corrective move. That is, larger down trend from 1.0237 might be still in progress. Medium term bearish is also affirmed as the pair is now far below falling 55 week EMA. Firm break of 0.8756 low will target 61.8% projection of 1.0237 to 0.8756 from 0.9471 at 0.8556 next.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are currently seen as developing into a long term corrective pattern, at least until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9874; (P) 0.9910; (R1) 0.9939; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, rebound from 0.9659 might be completed. Break of 0.9798 will add to this bearish case and target 0.9659/9713 support zone next. On the upside, above 0.9946 will resume the rebound to 0.9975 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, the structure of the fall from 1.0237 suggests that it’s a corrective move. Break of 0.9975 will argue that such correction has completed at 0.9659, ahead of 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587. But decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral first. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will extend the correction to 0.9541 support instead.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9836; (P) 0.9855; (R1) 0.9872; More

USD/CHF is staying in tight range above 0.9787 and intraday bias stays neutral first. With 0.9911 minor resistance intact, correction from 1.0056 could extend lower. But in that case, we’d expect strong support from 0.9724 fibonacci level to contain downside and bring rebound. On the upside, break of 0.9911 will argue that the pull back from 1.0056 has completed. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.0056.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.0342 has completed with three waves down to 0.9186. Rise from there is currently viewed as a leg inside the long term range pattern. Hence, while further rally would be seen, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. For now, further rise is expected as long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds. However, sustained break of 0.9724 will dampen this bullish view and would at least bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 0.9518.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9765; (P) 0.9791; (R1) 0.9816; More

USD/CHF is staying in range trading below 0.9848 and intraday bias remains neutral. With 0.9741 support intact, further rise is mildly in favor. Decisive break of 38.2% retracement of 1.0237 to 0.9613 at 0.9851 will add to the case of bullish near term reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 0.9999 next. On the downside, break of 0.9741 will suggest rejection by 0.9851 and retain near term bearishness. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 0.9613 low.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying sideway trading started from 1.0342 (2016 high). Fall from 1.0237 is a leg inside the pattern and could target 0.9186 (2018 low). In case of another rise, break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9313; (P) 0.9347; (R1) 0.9382; More

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook. Intraday bias stays mildly on the downside with focus on 0.9287 fibonacci level. Decisive break there will target 0.9149 structural support next. On the upside, though, break of 0.9454 resistance will now indicate short term bottoming. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 0.9545 resistance and above.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.8756 (2021 low) has completed at 1.0146, well ahead of 1.0342 long term resistance (2016 high). Based on current downside momentum, fall from 1.0146 might be a medium term down trend itself. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 0.8756 to 1.0146 at 0.9287 will pave the way to 0.8756. In any case, risk will stay on the downside as long as 55 day EMA (now at 0.9621) holds.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9915; (P) 0.9935; (R1) 0.9972; More

USD/CHF’s rally continues today and reaches as high as 0.9975 so far. Intraday bias stays on the upside at this point. Current rise from 0.9541 should target 1.0067 key resistance and then 61.8% projection of 0.9541 to 0.9954 from 0.9848 at 1.0103. On the downside, break of 0.9848 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, further rally will be expected even in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, the pullback from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9541 already. And rise from 0.9186 is likely resuming. Firm break of 1.0067 will pave the way to retest 1.0342 key resistance. We’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside to bring another medium term fall to extend long term range trading.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9738; (P) 0.9772; (R1) 0.9792; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral with focus on 0.9741 support. Decisive break there will suggest rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.0237 to 0.9613 at 0.9851 and retain near term bearishness. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 0.9613 low. On the upside, decisive break of 0.9851 will add to the case of bullish near term reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 0.9999 next.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9089; (P) 0.9118; (R1) 0.9143; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as consolidation from 0.9079 temporary low is extending. Further fall is expected with 0.9180 minor resistance intact. On the downside, break of 0.9079 will resume the decline from 0.9471 to 61.8% retracement of 0.8756 to 0.9471 at 0.9029. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 0.8756 low. On the upside, however, break of 0.9180 will turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 61.8% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9464 argues that rebound from 0.8756 was probably just a corrective move. That is, larger down trend from 1.0237 might be still in progress. We’ll monitor the downside momentum of the decline from 0.9471, to assess the chance of breakthrough 0.8756 low at a later stage.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9132; (P) 0.9159; (R1) 0.9209; More….

USD/CHF’s break of 0.9174 minor resistance indicates short term bottoming at 0.9084. Intraday bias is back on the upside for stronger rebound. On the downside, break of 0.9084 will resume the fall from 0.9367 to 0.9017 support, and then 0.8925.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9167; (P) 0.9204; (R1) 0.9240; More….

Range trading continues in USD/CHF and intraday bias remains neutral. Choppy rise from 0.8925 would still be in favor to extend higher as long as 0.9090 support holds. Break of 0.9341 will target 0.9372 resistance and then 0.9471. On the downside, however, break of 0.9090 will bring deeper fall back to 0.8925 support.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds. Larger down trend could still extend through 0.8756 (2021 low). However, firm break of 0.9471 will argue that the trend has already reversed and rebound the rally from 0.8756 with another impulsive move.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF’s up trend from 0.8332 resumed last week but turn sideway again after hitting 0.9146. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Further rally is expected as long as 0.8996 support holds. Above 0.9146 will target 161.8% projection of 0.8550 to 0.8884 from 0.8728 at 0.9268.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8332 medium term bottom as tentatively seen as developing into a corrective pattern to the down trend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Further rise would be seen as long as 0.8728 support holds. But upside should be limited by 0.9243 resistance, at least on first attempt. However, decisive break of 0.9243 will argue that the trend has already reversed and turn medium term outlook bullish.

In the long term picture, price action from 0.7065 (2011 high) are seen as a corrective pattern to the multi-decade down trend from 1.8305 (2000 high). Strong rebound from 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 to 1.0342 (2016 high) will start the third leg as a medium term rally. But there will be no sign of long term reversal until firm break of 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0178; (P) 1.0194; (R1) 1.0219; More…..

USD/CHF’s consolidation from 1.0237 extends further with a steep decline today. But intraday bias will remain neutral first. On the downside, break of 1.0126 might bring deeper fall to 55 day EMA (now at 1.0078). But downside should be contained there to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 1.0237 will resume larger rise from 0.9186 to 1.0342 key resistance.

In the bigger picture, medium term up trend from 0.9186 is extending. Current rise should target 1.0342 resistance next. For now, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside, until we see medium term upside acceleration. On the downside, break of 0.9879 support is needed to indicate reversal. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish in case of deep pull back.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9250; (P) 0.9288; (R1) 0.9333; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral at this point. On the downside, break of 0.9233 will bring deeper correction. But overall outlook will stay bullish as long as 0.9044 resistance turned support holds. On the upside, above 0.9321 minor resistance will bring retest of 0.9374 high.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that fall from 1.0237 has completed at 0.8756, on bullish condition in daily and weekly MACD. Current rally from 0.8756 should target 0.9901 resistance first. Break there will target 1.0237/0342 resistance zone in the medium term. This will now remain the favored case as long as 0.9044 resistance turned support holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9321; (P) 0.9348; (R1) 0.9367; More….

USD/CHF failed to sustain above 0.9367 resistance and retreated after forming a temporary top at 0.9372. Intraday bias is turned neutral first. Another rise will remain in favor as long as 0.9248 support holds. Above 0.9372 will target 0.9471 key resistance next. Decisive break there will carry larger bullish implications. However, break of 0.9248 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.9084 support instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 0.9471 resistance holds, larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high) could still extend through 0.8756 low. However, sustained break of 0.9471 will revive the case of medium term bullish reversal. In this case, we’d assess the change of retesting 1.0342 high at a later stage, by looking at the upside momentum first.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9228; (P) 0.9251; (R1) 0.9272; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, break of 0.9274 will suggest that the pull back from 0.9372 is finished. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 0.9372. On the downside, below 0.9156 will target 0.9084 support. Firm break there should confirm that choppy rise from 0.8925 has completed, and suggests that fall from 0.9471 is resuming. Deeper decline would be seen through 0.8925.
