USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9446; (P) 0.9490; (R1) 0.9517; More

USD/CHF is staying in range trading and intraday bias remains neutral first. On the downside, below 0.9420 minor support will bring retest of 0.9376 low. Break will resume the whole decline form 0.9901 and target 100% projection of 0.9901 to 0.9502 from 0.9736 at 0.9337. On the upside, firm break of 0.9554 will resume the rebound from 0.9376 instead. In this case, further rally would be seen to 55 day EMA (now at 0.9586).

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). It could have completed at 0.9181 after hitting 0.9186 key support (2018 low). Break of 0.9901 will extend the rebound from 0.9181 through 1.0023 resistance. After all, medium term range trading will likely continue between 0.9181/1.0237 for some more time.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

Immediate focus in on 0.9978 resistance in USD/CHF this week. Firm break there will suggest that consolidation pattern from 1.0027 has completed at 0.9868. Further rise should then be seen to retest 1.0027 first. Break will resume whole rise from 0.9659 to 78.6% retracement of 1.0237 to 0.9659 at 1.0113. For now, near term outlook will remain cautiously bullish as long as 0.9868 support holds.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying in range of 0.9659/1.0237. In any case, decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will target 0.9541 support instead.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8770; (P) 0.8793; (R1) 0.8807; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral at this point. Further rise remains in favor with 0.8727 minor support intact. Above 0.8819 will resume the rebound from 0.8665 short term bottom to 0.8886 support turned resistance first. However, firm break of 0.8727 will retain near term bearishness, and turn bias back to the downside to resume the fall from 0.9243 through 0.8665.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8551 are currently seen as part of a corrective pattern to the decline from 1.0146 (2022 high). Fall from 0.9243 is seen as the second leg for now. Deeper decline could be seen to 0.8551 low but strong support should be seen there to bring rebound. Meanwhile, break of 0.9111 resistance will argue that the third leg has started already, and target 0.9243 and above.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9875; (P) 0.9918; (R1) 0.9957; More

USD/CHF is staying in consolidation above 0.9854 temporary low. Intraday bias remains neutral first. In case of stronger recovery, upside should be limited by 1.0008 support turned resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 0.9854 will extend the decline from 1.0237 to 0.9716 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9712).

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF’s break of long term trend line support is the first indication of medium term reversal. Focus is now back on 0.9879 support. Sustained break should confirm that medium term up trend from 0.9186 has completed at 1.0237 already. Further fall should be seen to 0.9716 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9712) next. Break will target 61.8% retracement at 0.9587.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9790; (P) 0.9810; (R1) 0.9848; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains mildly on the upside. Current recovery from 0.9659 should target 55 day EMA (now at 0.9856). Sustained break will target 0.9975 resistance. On the downside, break of 0.9773 minor support will suggest completion of recovery from 0.9659. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for retesting 0.9659 first.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 0.9186 (2018 low) should have completed at 1.0237 already. Deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587 and below. For now, USD/CHF is seen as in long term range pattern between 0.9186 and 1.0342. Hence, we’d pay attention to bottoming signal below 0.9587. Nevertheless, break of 0.9975 resistance is needed to indicate completion of the decline from 1.0237. Otherwise, risk will stay on the downside.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8952; (P) 0.8977; (R1) 0.9001; More

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook and intraday bias remains neutral. Risk stays on the downside as long as 0.9146 resistance holds. Below 0.8900 will target 0.8818 and possibly below. But strong support is still expected from 0.8756 to bring reversal.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.1046 (2022 high) is seen as a leg in the long term range pattern from 1.0342 (2016 high), which might have completed at 0.8818 already, just ahead of 0.8756 long term support. Sustained trading above 0.9058 support turned resistance should confirm medium term bottoming.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF rose to 0.9241 last week but failed to break through 0.9273 resistance and retreated. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Another rise is mildly in favor as long as 0.9128 minor support holds. Firm break of 0.9273 will resume the whole rise from 0.8925 to 100% projection of 0.8925 to 0.9273 from 0.9017 at 0.9365. On the downside, however, break of 0.9128 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.9017 support instead.

In the bigger picture, the failure to sustain above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9184) retains medium term bearish in USD/CHF. Break of 0.8925 support should resume the whole decline form 1.0342 (2016 high) through 0.8756 low. However, break of 0.9273 resistance and sustained trading above 55 week EMA will be an early sign of bullish trend reversal. Focus will then turn to 0.9471 resistance for confirmation.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are currently seen as developing into a long term corrective pattern, at least until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9618; (P) 0.9668; (R1) 0.9697; More

USD/CHF recovers again after hitting 0.9638 and intraday bias is turned neutral. Overall outlook is unchanged that corrective pattern from 0.9901 is still in progress. Another fall cannot be ruled out and break of 0.9638 will target 0.9588 support and below. But downside should be contained by 61.8% retracement of 0.9181 to 0.9901 at 0.9456 to rebound. On the upside, break of 0.9784 resistance will target a test on 0.9901 high.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). It could have completed at 0.9181 after hitting 0.9186 key support (2018 low). Break of 0.9901 will extend the rebound form 0.9181 through 1.0023 resistance. After all, medium term range trading will likely continue between 0.9181/1.0237 for some more time.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9882; (P) 0.9934; (R1) 0.9971; More

USD/CHF’s break of 0.9894 minor support suggests that rebound from 0.9787 is completed at 0.9989. And, correction from 1.0056 is extending. Intraday bias is turned back to the downside for 0.9787 support and possibly below. But we’d expect strong support from 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 to contain downside to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 0.9989 will target a test on 1.0056 first. Break will resume whole rise from 0.9186.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.0342 has completed with three waves down to 0.9186. Rise from there is currently viewed as a leg inside the long term range pattern. Hence, while further rally would be seen, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. For now, further rise is expected as long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds. However, sustained break of 0.9724 will dampen this bullish view and would at least bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 0.9518.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9190; (P) 0.9214; (R1) 0.9260; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside at this point. Current rise from 0.8925 short term bottom should target 61.8% retracement of 0.9471 to 0.8925 at 0.9262. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 0.9471 resistance. On the downside, below 0.9166 will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, medium term bearishness is neutralized by strong break of 55 week EMA. Focus is back on 0.9471 resistance. Sustained break there will indicate completion of whole decline from 1.0342 (2016 high). Medium term outlook will be turned bullish for a test on 1.0342 high.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF edged lower to 0.9050 last week but quickly recovered. Initial bias remains neutral this week and further fall is in favor as long as 0.9241 resistance holds. Break of 0.9050 will resume larger down trend. Though, break of of 0.9241 will confirm short term bottoming and turn bias to the upside for 0.9376 support turned resistance.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). Current development suggests that such pattern is still extending. Sustain trading below 100% projection of 1.0342 to 0.9186 from 1.0237 at 0.9081 will pave the way to 138.2% projection at 0.8639. On the upside, break of 0.9376 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming.

In the long term picture, price actions from 0.7065 (2011 low) are not clearly impulsive yet. Thus, we’ll treat it as developing into a corrective pattern, at least, until a firm break of 1.0342 resistance.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9599; (P) 0.9618; (R1) 0.9638; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Focus stays on 0.9626 key fibonacci resistance. Sustained trading above this level will be another evidence of larger reversal. In that case, further rally should be seen back to next fibonacci level at 0.9900. On the downside, though, break of 0.9533 minor support should indicate rejection by 0.9626. Further break of 0.9432 will turn near term outlook bearish for retesting 0.9186 low.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.0342 is seen as a medium term down trend. Main focus is on 38.2% retracement of 1.0342 (2016 high) to 0.9186 (2018 low) at 0.9626. Sustained break there will add to the case of trend reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 0.9900 and above. However, rejection from 0.9626 will maintain medium term bearishness for another low below 0.9186.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9625; (P) 0.9639; (R1) 0.9664; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as consolidation from 0.9613 is extending. Upside is expected to be limited by 0.9762 resistance to bring down trend resumption. On the downside, break of 0.9613 will target 100% projection of 1.0237 to 0.9659 from 1.0023 at 0.9445. However, considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9762 will indicate near term reversal and turn outlook bullish for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying sideway trading started from 1.0342 (2016 high). Fall from 1.0237 is a leg inside the pattern and could target 0.9186 (2018 low). In case of another rise, break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall.

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF dropped to 0.8851 last week but quickly recovered since then. Initial bias is mildly on the upside this week for 0.8818 support turned resistance. Strong resistance could be seen there to complete the recovery and bring down trend resumption. On the downside, firm break of 0.8551 will resume larger down trend from 1.0146, targeting 0.8317 fibonacci level.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0146 is seen as in progress as long as 0.8188 support turned resistance holds. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 (2011 low) to 1.0342 (2016 high) at 0.8317. However, sustained break of 0.8818 will be the first sign of medium term bottoming, and turn focus back to 0.9146 resistance for confirmation.

In the long term picture, there is no clear sign that down trend from 1.8305 (2000 high) has completed. With 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359 intact, outlook is neutral at best. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 0.7065 (2011 low) to 1.0342 (2016 high) at 0.8317 will bring retest of 0.7065 low.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9861; (P) 0.9886; (R1) 0.9934; More….

USD/CHF reaches as high as 0.9939 so far and intraday bias remains on the upside. Current rise from 0.9420 should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9420 at 0.9990. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0342 high. On the downside, below 0.9837 minor support will turn bias neutral and bring consolidation. But outlook will remain bullish as long as 0.9736 support holds.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could develop into a medium term move and target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9587 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.

USD/CHF 4 Hours Chart

USD/CHF Daily Chart

USD/CHF Weekly Outlook

USD/CHF edged higher to 0.9243 last week, but subsequent pull back and breach of 0.9089 support indicates short term topping. Initial bias is mildly on the downside this week. Deeper fall would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 0.8551 to 0.9243 at 0.8979. On the upside, though, above 0.9176 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 0.9243.

In the bigger picture, current development indicates that rise from 0.8551 is reversing whole down trend from 1.0146. Further rally would then be seen to 61.8% retracement at 0.9537 and above. For now, this will be the favored case as long as 55 D EMA (now at 0.8962) holds, even in case of deep pullback.

In the long term picture, there is no clear sign that down trend from 1.8305 (2000 high) has completed. With 38.2% retracement of 1.8305 to 0.7065 at 1.1359 intact, outlook is neutral at best.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8956; (P) 0.8970; (R1) 0.8993; More….

USD/CHF is staying in consolidation from 0.8982 and intraday bias remains neutral. Further rally is expected as long as 0.8893 support holds. Above 0.8982 will resume the rally from 0.8551 to 0.9146 cluster resistance. However, firm break of 0.8893 will argue that a short term top is possibly formed, and turn bias back to the downside for 55 D EMA (now at 0.8858).

In the bigger picture, rebound from 0.8551 medium term bottom is currently seen as a correction to the downtrend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Further rally would be seen to 0.9146 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 at 0.9160). Strong resistance could be seen there to limit upside, at least on first attempt.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0089; (P) 1.0106; (R1) 1.0126; More

USD/CHF weakens mildly after failing to break 4 hour 55 EMA. But it’s staying above 1.0050 temporary low and intraday bias remains neutral. Further decline remains mildly in favor as long as 1.0126 support turned resistance holds. On the downside, break of 1.0050 will resume the fall from 1.0237 to retest 0.9879 key support. However, firm break of 1.0126 will turn bias back to the upside for 1.0237 resistance.

In the bigger picture, as long as 0.9879 support holds, medium term up trend form 0.9186 is still in progress. Break of 1.0237 will target 1.0342 resistance next. For now, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside, until we see medium term upside acceleration. However, decisive break of 0.9879 will be a strong sign of medium term reversal. Focus will be turned back to 0.9716 support for confirmation.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9567; (P) 0.9606; (R1) 0.9674; More….

USD/CHF’s rebound from 0.9427 is still in progress and further rise might be seen. The consolidation could extend longer considering that the pair is close to 0.9443 key support. Nonetheless, break of 0.9772 resistance is needed to confirm near term reversal. Otherwise, outlook stays bearish for another decline. Below 0.9537 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 0.9427 first. Break of 0.9427 will target 61.8% projection of 1.0099 to 0.9437 to 0.9772 at 0.9363.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that 0.9443 key support (2016 low) could be taken out firmly as down trend form 1.0342 extends. There are various interpretation of the price actions. But in any case, medium term outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.9772 resistance holds. Current down trend could extend to 38.2% retracement of 0.7065 (2011 low) to 1.0342 (2016 high) at 0.9090.

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral for the moment. In this case, further rally would be seen to 55 day EMA (now at 0.9598).
