USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9665; (P) 0.9709; (R1) 0.9737; More

USD/CHF’s firm break of 0.9695 support now suggests resumption of fall from 1.0237. Intraday bias is back on the downside for 0.9587 fibonacci level first. Break will target 100% projection of 1.0237 to 0.9695 from 0.9975 at 0.9433. On the upside, break of 0.9797 minor resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 0.9186 (2018 low) should have completed at 1.0237 already. Deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587 and below. For now, USD/CHF is seen as in long term range pattern between 0.9186 and 1.0342. Hence, we’d pay attention to bottoming signal below 0.9587. Nevertheless, break of 0.9975 resistance is needed to indicate completion of the decline from 1.0237. Otherwise, risk will stay on the downside.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8721; (P) 0.8743; (R1) 0.8773; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral at this point. Another fall is in favor as long as 0.8769 minor resistance holds. Below 0.8665 will resume the decline from 0.9243 to 161.8% projection of 0.9243 to 0.8886 from 0.9111 at 0.8533, which is close to 0.8551 low. However, break of 0.8769 minor resistance should indicate short term bottoming, and turn bias back to the upside for stronger recovery to 0.8886 support turned resistance.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8551 are currently seen as part of a corrective pattern to the decline from 1.0146 (2022 high). Fall from 0.9243 is seen as the second leg for now. Deeper decline could be seen to 0.8551 low but strong support should be seen there to bring rebound. For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.8886 support turned resistance holds.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral with focus on 0.9686 minor support. Break will suggest completion of rebound from 0.9502. Correction from 0.9901 should have then started the third leg. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 61.8% retracement of 0.9181 to 0.9901 at 0.9456 again. On the upside, above 0.9797 will target 0.9901 high instead.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). It could have completed at 0.9181 after hitting 0.9186 key support (2018 low). Further rise could be seen to retest 1.0237 high. After all, medium term range trading will likely continue between 0.9181/1.0237 for some time.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9323; (P) 0.9352; (R1) 0.9389; More

USD/CHF’s decline from 1.0146 resumed today and intraday bias is back on the downside. Current fall should now target 61.8% projection of 1.0146 to 0.9355 from 0.9545 at 0.9056. On the upside, break of 0.9378 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.8756 (2021 low) has completed at 1.0146, well ahead of 1.0342 long term resistance (2016 high). Based on current downside momentum, fall from 1.0146 might be a medium term down trend itself. Sustained break of 61.8% retracement of 0.8756 to 1.0146 at 0.9287 will pave the way to 0.8756. In any case, risk will stay on the downside as long as 0.9545 resistance holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9658; (P) 0.9683; (R1) 0.9713; More…..

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation above 0.9651 temporary low. Upside of recovery should be limited by 0.9775 minor resistance to bring another fall. On the downside, break of 0.9651 will target 200% projection of 1.0067 to 0.9866 from 0.9981 at 0.8579 next.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that rise from 0.9186 low has completed at 1.0067, after failing to sustain above 1.0037 resistance. Fall from 1.0067 could extend to 61.8% retracement of 0.9816 to 1.0067 at 0.9523 and below. But for now, we don’t expect a break of 0.9186 low. On the upside, firm break of 0.9866 support turned resistance will suggests that fall from 1.0067 has completed and rise from 0.9186 is resuming.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8573; (P) 0.8630; (R1) 0.8667; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays on the downside and outlook is unchanged. Current fall from 0.9243 is in progress for retesting 0.8551 key support next. On the upside, above 0.8710 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral again first. But outlook will remain bearish as long as 0.8819 resistance holds.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8551 are currently seen as a corrective pattern to the decline from 1.0146 (2022 high). Fall from 0.9243 is seen as the second leg for now. Strong support should be seen 0.8551 to bring rebound. Meanwhile, break of 0.9111 resistance will argue that the third leg has started already, and target 0.9243.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral at this point. Considering bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 0.9545 will indicate short term bottoming at 0.9325. Intraday bias will be back on the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 0.9652). On the downside, below 0.9325 will target 0.9287 fibonacci level.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.8756 (2021 low) has completed at 1.0146, well ahead of 1.0342 long term resistance (2016 high). Based on current downside momentum, fall from 1.0146 might be a medium term down trend itself. Break of 61.8% retracement of 0.8756 to 1.0146 at 0.9287 will pave the way to 0.8756. In any case, risk will stay on the downside as long as 55 day EMA (now at 0.9690) holds.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9304; (P) 0.9351; (R1) 0.9381; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the downside at this point. Current decline form 0.9901 should target a test on 0.9181 low. We’ll looking for bottoming around there. On the upside, break of 0.9362 support turned resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But break of 0.9467 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, near term outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, USD/CHF is still staying in long term range pattern from 1.0342, (2016 high). While deeper fall could be seen, we do not expect a firm break of 0.9181/86 support zone (2018 and 2020 low). Hence, we’d look for bottoming signal as it approaches this zone. However, sustained break there will carry long term bearish implications for next key support at 0.8336.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9916; (P) 0.9935; (R1) 0.9951; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. On the upside, above 0.9984 will resume the rebound from 0.9866 to retest 1.0067 high. Decisive break there will resume whole rally from 0.9186. On the downside, below 0.9894 might extend the consolidation pattern from 1.0056 with another falling leg. But downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 to bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that the consolidation pattern from 1.0056 is extending with another leg. As long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds, we’d expect rise from 0.9186 to resume at a later stage to retest 1.0342 key resistance (2016 high). However, sustained break of 0.9724 fibonacci level will bring deeper fall, as another declining leg in the long term range pattern.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8752; (P) 0.8778; (R1) 0.8811; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF stays neutral at this point, as today’s recovery is capped below 0.8874 resistance so far. On the upside, firm break of 0.8874 will resume the rise from 0.8551. Next target is 0.9146 cluster resistance. On the downside, tho0ugh, break of 0.8743 minor support will argue that rebound from 0.8551 has completed, and bring retest of this low.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 0.8551 medium term bottom is currently seen as a correction to the downtrend from 1.0146 (2022 high). Further rally would be seen to 0.9146 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.0146 to 0.8551 at 0.9160). Strong resistance could be seen there to limit upside, at least on first attempt. Nevertheless, medium term outlook is neutral at best as long as 0.8551 holds, until further developments.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8911; (P) 0.8926; (R1) 0.8942; More….

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9954; (P) 0.9991; (R1) 1.001; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as consolidation from 1.0037 is still in progress. Deeper retreat could be seen. But downside should be contained above 0.9835 resistance turned support and bring rally resumption. On the upside break of 1.0037 will resume whole rally from 0.9420. And with sustained trading above 61.8% retracement of 1.0342 to 0.9420 at 0.9990, USD/CHF should then target a test on 1.0342 key resistance.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that USD/CHF has defended 0.9443 (2016 low) key support level again. Rise from 0.9420 could is a medium term up move and should target a test on 1.0342 high. This represents the upper end of a long term range that started back in 2015. On the downside, break of 0.9736 support is now needed to indicate completion of the rise from 0.9420. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor in medium term.

USD/CHF Daily Chart

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9881; (P) 0.9911; (R1) 0.9956; More

Break of 0.9946 suggests resumption of rebound from 0.9659. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 0.9975 key resistance. Decisive break there will confirm completion of fall form 1.0237. Further rally would then be seen to retest this high. On the downside, though, break of 0.9854 will turn intraday bias to the downside for 0.9659 low.

In the bigger picture, the structure of the fall from 1.0237 suggests that it’s a corrective move. Break of 0.9975 will argue that such correction has completed at 0.9659, ahead of 61.8% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0237 at 0.9587. But decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, medium term outlook will stay neutral first. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will extend the correction to 0.9541 support instead.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9013; (P) 0.9026; (R1) 0.9050; More….

USD/CHF is staying in consolidation from 0.8984 temporary low and intraday bias remains neutral first. Outlook stays bearish with 0.9163 resistance intact and further decline is expected. On the downside, break of 0.8984 will resume the fall from 0.9471 to retest 0.8756 low. Nevertheless, firm break of 0.9163 will turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 61.8% retracement of 0.9901 to 0.8756 at 0.9464 argues that rebound from 0.8756 was probably just a corrective move. That is, larger down trend from 1.0237 might be still in progress. Medium term bearish is also affirmed as the pair is now far below falling 55 week EMA. Firm break of 0.8756 low will target 61.8% projection of 1.0237 to 0.8756 from 0.9471 at 0.8556 next.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9156; (P) 0.9173; (R1) 0.9187; More….

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral as range trading continues. On the upside, break of 0.9241 resistance should resume the rise from 0.8925 through 0.9273. On the downside, break of 0.9098 will target 0.9017 support first. Further break there will likely resume the decline from 0.9471 through 0.8925 low.

In the bigger picture, the failure to sustain above 55 week EMA (now at 0.9180) retains medium term bearishness in USD/CHF. Break of 0.8925 support should resume the whole decline form 1.0342 (2016 high) through 0.8756 low. However, break of 0.9273 resistance and sustained trading above 55 week EMA will be an early sign of bullish trend reversal. Focus will then turn to 0.9471 resistance for confirmation.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9902; (P) 0.9928; (R1) 0.9947; More

USD/CHF’s consolidation from 0.9954 temporary top is in progress and intraday bias stays neutral first. Another fall cannot be ruled out. But downside should be contained by 38.2% retracement of 0.9541 to 0.9954 at 0.9796 to bring rise resumption. On the upside, break of 0.9954 will target 1.0067 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, the pullback from 1.0067 has completed at 0.9541 already. And rise from 0.9186 is likely resuming. Firm break of 1.0067 will pave the way to retest 1.0342 key resistance. We’d be cautious on strong resistance from there to limit upside to bring another medium term fall to extend long term range trading.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9877; (P) 0.9921; (R1) 0.9956; More

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook. While downside momentum is diminishing as seen in 4 hour MACD, with 0.9977 minor resistance intact, correction from 1.0056 could extend lower. But we’d expect strong support from trend line (now at 0.9830) to contain downside and bring rebound. On the upside, above 0.9977 will suggest that the pull back is finished and bring retest of 1.0056 high.

In the bigger picture, medium term decline from 1.0342 has completed with three waves down to 0.9186. Rise from there is currently viewed as a leg inside the long term range pattern. Hence, while further rally would be seen, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.0342 to limit upside. For now, further rise is expected as long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9186 to 1.0056 at 0.9724 holds.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9643; (P) 0.9684; (R1) 0.9711; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for the moment. Consolidation from 0.9901 could extend for a while. On the downside, break of 0.9592 will bring deeper decline. But downside should be contained by 61.8% retracement of 0.9181 to 0.9901 at 0.9456 to rebound. On the upside, break of 0.9797 will bring retest of 0.9901 high.

In the bigger picture, decline from 1.0237 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0342 (2016 low). It could have completed at 0.9181 after hitting 0.9186 key support (2018 low). Break of 0.9901 will extend the rebound form 0.9181 through 1.0023 resistance. After all, medium term range trading will likely continue between 0.9181/1.0237 for some more time.

USD/CHF Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9546; (P) 0.9575; (R1) 0.9605; More

No change in USD/CHF’s outlook and fall from 1.0063 could extend lower. But should be contained by 61.8% retracement of 0.9193 to 1.0063 at 0.9525 to bring rebound. On the upside, above 0.9763 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for recovery. However, sustained break of 0.9525 will bring deeper decline to 0.9193 support.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.0342 (2016 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.8756 (2021 low) already. Rise from 0.8756 is likely a medium term up trend of its own. Next target is 1.0237/0342 resistance zone. This will remain the favored case as long as 0.9471 resistance turned support holds. However, sustained break of 0.9471 will extend long term range trading with another falling leg.

USD/CHF Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9815; (P) 0.9831; (R1) 0.9842; More

Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains neutral for consolidation above 0.9805 temporary low. Further decline will remain in favor as long as 0.9917 resistance holds. On the downside, below 0.9805 will resume the fall from 1.0023 and target 0.9659 support next. On the upside, break of 0.9917 will dampen this bearish view and turn bias back to the upside for 1.0023 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral as USD/CHF is staying in range of 0.9659/1.0237. In any case, decisive break of 1.0237 is needed to indicate up trend resumption. Otherwise, more sideway trading would be seen with risk of another fall. Meanwhile, break of 0.9695 support will target 0.9541 support instead.
