UK CPI was unchanged at 6.7% yoy in September, above expectation of slowing to 6.6% yoy. CPI core (excluding energy, food, alcohol and tobacco) slowed from 6.2% yoy to 6.1% yoy, above expectation of 6.0% yoy.
