Alibaba Stock Seems To Have Found A Floor At 50-SMA

Alibaba stock price found some footing around the 50-day simple moving average (SMA) and the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level of the up leg from 151.70 to 231.00 at 212.38 and is trying to return to a bullish trend after the rebound on the 38.2% Fibo of 201.00.

Regarding the technical indicators, the RSI indicator is pointing up in the 50 level with weak momentum and the MACD is in progress to create a bullish cross with its trigger line in the positive territory.

Traders would be more eager to engage in buying activities if the price manages hit the nearby resistance at 224.00. If this is successfully breached, then the rally may next rest somewhere near the multi-month high of 231.00.

On the flip side, if the stock slips beneath the significant zone of 212.38, it could challenge the 204.50 support ahead of the 38.2% Fibo of 201.00, which stands in the Ichimoku cloud in the daily timeframe. Such a move could next bring the 100-day SMA currently at 195.00 into the spotlight.

Summarizing, Alibaba stock price is expected to show improvement if the price overcomes the 224.00 resistance zone. In the medium-term a stronger push up above 231.00 is required to upgrade the positive outlook.
