Britain’s Services Sector Activity Rebounded In January

For the 24 hours to 23:00 GMT, the GBP declined 0.66% against the USD and closed at 1.3000.

On the macro front, UK’s final Markit services PMI advanced to a level of 53.9 in January, marking its highest level since September 2018 and compared to a level of 50.0 in the prior month. The preliminary figures had recorded an advance of 52.9.

In the Asian session, at GMT0400, the pair is trading at 1.2986, with the GBP trading 0.11% lower against the USD from yesterday’s close.

The pair is expected to find support at 1.2938, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 1.2890. The pair is expected to find its first resistance at 1.3052, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 1.3118.
