EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0952; (P) 1.0974; (R1) 1.0995; More

EUR/USD breaches 1.1046 minor resistance but couldn’t sustain above there so far. Initial bias remains neutral first. On the downside, break of 1.0911 will resume the fall from 1.1274 to 1.0832 support. Sustained trading below there will target 1.0609/34 cluster support. However, firm break of 1.1046 minor resistance will argue that pull back from 1.1274 has completed, and bring stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, a medium term top could be formed at 1.1274, after failing to break through 61.8% retracement of 1.2348 (2021 high) to 0.9534 at 1.1273 decisively, on bearish divergence condition in D MACD. Sustained trading below 55 D EMA (now at 1.0966) will bring deeper correction to 1.0634 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0609). Strong support could be seen there, at least on first attempt, to set the range for consolidation.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD dipped to 1.0825 last week but turned sideway since then. Initial bias remains neutral this week first and further fall is in favor as long as 1.0896 minor resistance holds. Below 1.0825 will target 55 D EMA (now at 1.0815). Sustained break there will argue that whole rebound from 1.0601 has completed with three waves up to 1.0947, and target 1.0601/0665 support zone. Nevertheless, break of 1.0896 will bring retest of 1.0947 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern that’s still be in progress. Break of 1.1138 resistance will be the first signal that rise from 0.9534 (2022 low) is ready to resume through 1.1274 (2023 high). However, break of 1.0665 support will extend the correction with another falling leg back towards 1.0447 support.

In the long term picture, a long term bottom is in place at 0.9534 (2022 low). Sustained break of 55 M EMA (now at 1.1013) will raise the chance of long term reversal. But even in this case, firm break of 1.2348 structural resistance is needed to confirm. Rejection by 55 M EMA will maintain bearishness for extend the down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) through 0.9534 at a later stage.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1618; (P) 1.1652 (R1) 1.1693; More

EUR/USD recovers further in early US session but struggles to take out 4 hour 55 EMA firmly. Intraday bias remains neutral and consolidation from 1.1574 could extend. As noted before, break of 1.1879 resistance is needed to confirm completion of the decline from 1.2091. Otherwise, near term outlook will stay bearish. Below 1.1574 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.0569 to 1.2091 at 1.1510.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is seen as a corrective move for the moment. Therefore, in case of another rally, we’d be cautious on 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 to limit upside and bring reversal. Meanwhile, sustained trading below 55 week EMA will suggest that such medium term rebound is completed and could then bring retest of 1.0339 low.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0498; (P) 1.0577 (R1) 1.0638; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains on the downside for the moment. Sustained break of 100% projection of 1.1494 to 1.0805 from 1.1184 at 1.0495 will pave the way to 161.8% projection at 1.0069. On the upside, above 1.0654 minor resistance will turn bias neutral and bring consolidations. But upside should be limited by 1.0756 support turned resistance to bring fall resumption.

In the bigger picture, the decline from 1.2348 (2021 high) is expected to continue as long as 1.1185 support turned resistance holds. Firm break of 1.0635 (2020 low) will raise the chance of long term down trend resumption and target a retest on 1.0339 (2017 low) next. Nevertheless, break of 1.1185 will maintain medium term neutral outlook, and extending term range trading first.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0912; (P) 1.0935; (R1) 1.0966; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral first. Upside of recovery should be limited below 1.1109 resistance and bring down trend resumption. On the downside, break of 1.0904 temporary low will target 1.0813 fibonacci level next.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) is in progress. Prior rejection of 55 week EMA also maintained bearishness. Further fall should be seen to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Decisive break there will target 1.0339 (2017 low). On the upside, break of 1.1412 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1641; (P) 1.1699 (R1) 1.1734; More…..

EUR/USD’s break of 1.1679 minor support suggests that corrective rise from 1.1507 has completed at 1.1790 already. Intraday bias is turned back to the downside for retesting 1.1507 first. Break will resume larger fall from 1.2555. In that case, EUR/USD should drop through 50% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1447 to 61.8% retracement at 1.1186. On the upside, in case of another recovery, upside should be limited by 1.1851 resistance to bring reversal.

In the bigger picture, EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. And, a medium term top was formed at 1.2555 already. Decline from there should extend further to 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186 and below. For now, even in case of rebound, we won’t consider the fall from 1.2555 as finished as long as 1.1995 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0398; (P) 1.0447; (R1) 1.0480; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD stays neutral and outlook is unchanged. On the downside, break of 1.0371 support will indicate rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.1213 to 1.0176 at 1.0572 and retain near term bearishness. Retest of 1.0176 low should be seen next. On the upside, though, decisive break of 1.0572 will raise the chance of bullish reversal, and target 61.8% retracement at 1.0817.

In the bigger picture, outlook is mixed as fall from 1.1274 (2023 high) could either be the second leg of the corrective pattern from 0.9534 (2022 low), or another down leg of the long term down trend. Strong support from 61.8 retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0199 will favor the former case, and sustained break of 55 W EMA (now at 1.0722) will argue that the third leg might have started. However, sustained trading below 1.0199 will favor the latter case and bring retest of 0.9534 low.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1710; (P) 1.1735; (R1) 1.1768; More

EUR/USD’s break of 1.1677 minor support suggests that corrective pattern from 1.1829 is extending with the third leg. Intraday bias is back on the downside for 1.1555 support and possibly below. But downside should be contained by 55 D EMA (now at 1.1538) to bring rebound. On the upside, above 1.1788 will bring retest of 1.1829 high first.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.9534 long term bottom could be correcting the multi-decade downtrend or the start of a long term up trend. In either case, further rise should be seen to 100% projection of 0.9534 to 1.1274 from 1.0176 at 1.1916. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1604 support holds.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

.Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0680; (P) 1.0697; (R1) 1.0716; More

Immediate focus is now on 1.0723 support turned resistance. Rejection from there, followed by break of 1.0677 minor support, will retain near term bearishness. Retest of 1.0601 low would be seen next. Nevertheless, firm break of 1.0723 will bring stronger rebound to 55 D EMA (now at 1.0786) instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 are viewed as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.9534 (2022 low). Current fall from 1.1138 is seen as the third leg. While deeper decline is would be seen to 1.0447 and possibly below, Strong support should emerge from 61.8% retracement of 0.9534 to 1.1274 at 1.0199 to complete the correction.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1319; (P) 1.1344; (R1) 1.1363; More…..

EUR/USD is losing some downside momentum as seen in 4 hour MACD. But further decline is expected with 1.1380 minor resistance intact. Firm break of 1.1289 support will argue that corrective pattern from 1.1251 has completed. And, in that case, larger decline from 1.2555 is ready to resume through 1.1251 low. On the upside, above 1.1380 minor resistance would probably extend the correction pattern with another rise towards 1.1569 resistance.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.1814 resistance holds, down trend down trend from 1.2555 medium term top is still in progress and should target 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2017 low) to 1.2555 at 1.1186 next. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. However, break of 1.1814 will confirm completion of such down trend and turn medium term outlook bullish.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2267; (P) 1.2301 (R1) 1.2351; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point. On the upside, above 1.2363 should extend the rebound from 1.2154 to retest 1.2555 high. Firm break there will carry larger bullish implication. On the downside, break of 1.2154 would revive the case of rejection by 1.2516 key fibonacci level and trend reversal. Outlook will be turned bearish for 38.2% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1708.

In the bigger picture, key fibonacci level at 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516 remains intact despite attempts to break. Hence, rise from 1.0339 medium term bottom is still seen as a corrective move for the moment. Rejection from 1.2516 will maintain long term bearish outlook and keep the case for retesting 1.0039 alive. Firm break of 1.1553 support will add more medium term bearishness. However, sustained break of 1.2516 will carry larger bullish implication and target 61.8% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.3862.

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0914; (P) 1.0968; (R1) 1.0998; More

EUR/USD recovers ahead of 1.0926 support and intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Consolidation from 1.0926 could still extend. But in case of another rise, upside should be limited by 1.1164 resistance. On the downside, sustained break of 1.0926 will resume lager down trend from 1.2555 for 1.0813 fibonacci level next. However, decisive break of 1.1164 will be an early indication of larger reversal and target 1.1249 resistance.

On the upside, break of 1.1412 resistance is needed to indicate medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0803; (P) 1.0839; (R1) 1.0866; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/USD is turned neutral with current recovery. Some consolidations would be seen above 1.0810 temporary low first. But outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.0954 resistance holds. Below 1.0810 will resume the fall from 1.1213 to 61.8% retracement of 1.0447 to 1.1213 at 1.0740. Firm break there will target 1.0601 support next.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.1274 (2023 high) are seen as a consolidation pattern to up trend from 0.9534 (2022 low), with fall from 1.1213 as the third leg. Downside should be contained by 50% retracement of 0.9534 (2022 low) to 1.1274 at 1.0404, to bring up trend resumption at a later stage.

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD’s decline attempt was contained at 1.0494, above 1.0493 support and rebounded. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. On the upside, break of 1.0630 resistance will argue that pull back from 1.0828 is completed. Also, rise from 1.0339 could possibly be resuming. In that case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 1.0828 resistance and above. On the downside, below 1.0493 support will affirm the case that fall from 1.0828 is resuming the larger down trend. In that case, intraday bias will be back to the downside for resting 1.0339 low.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is in progress. Such down trend is expected to extend to 61.8% projection of 1.3993 to 1.0461 from 1.1298 at 0.9115. On the upside, break of 1.1298 resistance is needed to confirm medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

In the long term picture, the down trend from 1.6039 (2008 high) is still in progress and there is no clear sign of completion. We’d expect more downside towards 0.8223 (2000 low) as long as 1.1298 resistance holds.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

With 4 hour MACD crossed above signal line, a temporary low is in place at 1.1111 in EUR/USD. Intraday bias is turned neutral for some consolidations. But recovery should be limited below 1.1324 resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, break of 1.1111 will resume the down trend to 100% projection of 1.1448 to 1.1183 from 1.1324 at 1.1059. Break will target 161.8% projection at 1.0895.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 is now resuming with break of 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 (2016 low) to 1.2555 (2018 high) at 1.1186. Medium term also remains with EUR/USD staying well below falling 55 week EMA. Next downside target will be 78.6% retracement at 1.0813. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.0339. On the downside, break of 1.1448 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1702; (P) 1.1731; (R1) 1.1784; More

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains mildly on the upside for retesting 1.1829 high. Firm break there will resume whole rally from 1.0176, and target 1.1916 projection level. However, break of 1.1677 will delay the bullish case, and turn intraday bias neutral, with more consolidations below 1.1829 first.

EUR/USD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1643; (P) 1.1680; (R1) 1.1709; More…..

EUR/USD’s rebound from 1.1300 finally resumes and surges to as high as 1.7766 so far. Intraday bias is back on the upside, with focus back 38.2% retracement of 1.2555 to 1.1300 at 1.1779. Rejection from 1.1779 and break of 1.1649 minor support will indicate that corrective rise from 1.1300 has completed. That will be in line with our original view and turn bias to the downside for 1.1525 support for confirmation. However, sustained break of 1.1779 will extend the corrective rise from 1.1300 to 100% projection of 1.1300 to 1.1733 from 1.1525 at 1.1958 before completion.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.1300, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD and some consolidations would be seen. But still, note that EUR/USD was rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 (2008 high) to 1.0339 (2017 low) at 1.2516. That carries some long term bearish implications. Thus, we’d expect fall from 1.2555 high to resume after consolidation completes. Below 1.1300 should send EUR/USD through 61.8% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.1186. And, in that case, EUR/USD would head to retest 1.0339 (2017 low).

EUR/USD Weekly Outlook

EUR/USD dropped through 1.1107 low last week to resume the larger down trend from 1.2555. As a temporary low was formed at 1.1026, initial bias is neutral for some consolidations first. But further decline is expected as long as 1.1162 resistance holds. On the downside, break of 1.1026 will target 161.8% projection of 1.1412 to 1.1193 from 1.1282 at 1.0928 next.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that down trend from 1.2555 (2018) is in progress and extending. Prior rejection of 55 week EMA also maintained bearishness. Further fall should be seen to 78.6% retracement of 1.0339 to 1.2555 at 1.0813. Decisive break there will target 1.0339 (2017 low). On the upside, break of 1.1412 resistance is needed to indicate medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of rebound.

In the long term picture, outlook remains bearish for now. EUR/USD is held below decade long trend line that started from 1.6039 (2008 high). It was also rejected by 38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 before. A break of 1.0039 low will remain in favor as long as 55 month EMA (now at 1.1633) holds).

EUR/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1414; (P) 1.1450; (R1) 1.1476; More…..

Intraday bias in EUR/USD remains neutral at this point. Price actions from 1.1215 are still viewed as a corrective pattern. Hence, downside breakout is favored. On the downside, break of 1.1307 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.1215 low. Break will resume down trend from 1.2555 to 1.1186 key fibonacci level. Nevertheless, sustained break of 1.1499 resistance will suggest near term reversal and bring stronger rebound back to 1.1621 resistance first.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.1788; (P) 1.1814; (R1) 1.1855; More…..

EUR/USD spikes higher in early US session but quickly retreated. It’s after all staying in range below 1.1965 and intraday bias remains neutral. On the upside, break of 1.1965 will extend the whole rise from 1.0635. However, considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 1.1711 should confirm short term topping. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.1581).

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2555 (2018 high) has completed at 1.0635 already. Rise form 1.0635 is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 1.0339 (2017 low). Further rally rise should be seen to cluster resistance at 1.2555 next, (38.2% retracement of 1.6039 to 1.0339 at 1.2516 ). This will remain the favored case as long as 1.1422 resistance turned support holds.
