GBP/USD Daily Outlook
Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3337; (P) 1.3403; (R1) 1.3447; More...
Intraday bias in GBP/USD stays on the downside. Fall from 1.3748 should target a test on 1.3158 low first. Break there will resume larger down trend from 1.4248. On the upside, though, above 1.3523 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.3748.
In the bigger picture, strong support was seen from 38.2% retracement of 1.1409 to 1.4248 at 1.3164. The development suggests that up trend from 1.1409 (2020 low) is still in progress. On resumption, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 2.1161 to 1.1409 at 1.5134. Nevertheless sustained break of 1.3164 will argue that whole rise from 1.1409 has completed and bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.2493.
USD/CHF Daily Outlook
Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9194; (P) 0.9220; (R1) 0.9268; More....
Intraday bias in USD/CHF remains on the upside for 0.9372 first. Firm break there will target 0.9471 resistance next. On the downside, below 0.9243 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first. Overall, choppy rise from 0.8925 would still extend higher as long as 0.9090 support holds, even in case of deep retreat.
In the bigger picture, the corrective structure of the rebound from 0.8925 argues that fall from 0.9471 is not complete yet. It could either be the second leg of pattern from 0.8756 (2021 low), or resuming larger down trend from 1.0237 (2018 high). We'd pay attention to the downside momentum and assess the odds later. But for now, medium term outlook will be neutral at best as long as 0.9471 resistance holds.
USD/JPY Daily Outlook
Daily Pivots: (S1) 114.74; (P) 115.11; (R1) 115.75; More...
Intraday bias in USD/JPY remains on the upside for retesting 116.34 high first. Firm break there will resume larger up trend for 118.65 long term resistance next. On the downside, below 114.46 minor support will mix up the near term outlook and turn intraday bias neutral again.
In the bigger picture, no change in the view that rise from 102.58 is the third leg of the up trend from 101.18 (2020 low). Such rally should target a test on 118.65 (2016 high). Sustained break there will pave the way to 120.85 (2015 high) and raise the chance of long term up trend resumption. This will remain the favored case as long as 55 week EMA (now at 110.91) holds.
AUD/USD Daily Report
Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.6998; (P) 0.7060; (R1) 0.7095; More...
Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains on the downside for retesting 0.6991/2 support zone. Sustained break there will resume larger down trend from 0.8006, and carries larger bearish implication. Next target will be 100% projection of 0.7555 to 0.6992 from 0.7313 at 0.6750. On the upside, break of 0.7098 minor resistance will mix up the near term outlook and turn intraday bias neutral first.
In the bigger picture, strong rebound from 0.6991 key structural support will retain medium term bullishness. That is, whole up trend from 0.5506 is still in progress. Firm break of 0.7555 resistance will target 0.8006 high and above. However, sustained break of 0.6991 will argue that the whole up trend from 0.5506 might be finished at 0.8006, after rejection by 0.8135 long term resistance. Deeper decline would then be seen back to 61.8% retracement of 0.5506 to 0.8006 at 0.6461.
USD/CAD Daily Outlook
Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.2679; (P) 1.2714; (R1) 1.2776; More...
Intraday bias in USD/CAD remains on the upside for 1.2812 resistance first. Break there will target 1.2963 high next. On the downside, below 1.2558 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.2448 instead.
In the bigger picture, focus stays on 38.2% retracement of 1.4667 (2020 high) to 1.2005 (2021 low) at 1.3022. Sustained break there should confirm that the down trend from 1.4667 has completed after defending 1.2061 long term cluster support. Further rise would then be seen towards 61.8% retracement at 1.3650. However, rejection by 1.3022 will maintain medium term bearishness. Break of 1.2005 will resume the down trend form 1.4667 and that carries larger bearish implications too.
EUR/CHF Daily Outlook
Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.0363; (P) 1.0381; (R1) 1.0393; More....
Intraday in EUR/CHF remains neutral and outlook is unchanged. Recovery from 1.0298 might still extend higher, but upside should be limited well below 1.0510 resistance to bring another fall. Break of 1.0298 will resume the down trend from 1.1149 and target 161.8% projection of 1.1149 to 1.0694 from 1.0936 at 1.0200 next.
In the bigger picture, long term down trend from 1.2004 (2018 high) is still in progress. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.2004 to 1.0505 to 1.1149 at 1.0223. On the upside, firm break of 1.0505 support turned resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish even in case of rebound.
GBP/JPY Daily Outlook
Daily Pivots: (S1) 153.90; (P) 154.31; (R1) 154.79; More...
GBP/JPY is staying in consolidation from 152.88 and intraday bias remains neutral. Fall from 157.74 is seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 158.19. Deeper decline is expected as long as 155.38 minor resistance holds. Below 152.88 will target 148.94 support next. On the upside, above 155.38 minor resistance will flip bias back to the upside for 157.74/158.19 resistance zone instead.
In the bigger picture, price actions from 158.19 are currently seen as developing into a consolidation pattern to up trend from 123.94 (2020 low). Downside should be contained by 123.94 to 158.19 at 145.10 to bring rebound. Firm break of 158.19 will resume the up trend to long term fibonacci level at 167.93. However, sustained break of 145.10 will raise the chance of trend reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 137.02.
EUR/JPY Daily Outlook
Daily Pivots: (S1) 128.26; (P) 128.64; (R1) 128.95; More....
EUR/JPY is staying in consolidation form 128.23 and intraday bias remains neutral at this point. Outlook is unchanged that corrective pattern from 134.11 is extending with another falling leg. Further decline is expected as long as 129.76 resistance holds. Below 128.23 will target 127.36, and possibly further to 126.58 fibonacci level. On the upside, above 129.76 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside to 131.59 resistance instead.
In the bigger picture, price actions from 134.11 are currently seen as a consolidation pattern only. As long as 38.2% retracement of 114.42 (2020 low) to 134.11 at 126.58 holds, up trend from 114.42 is still in favor to continue. Break of 134.11 will target long term resistance at 137.49 (2018 high). However, sustained break of 126.58 will raise the chance of medium term bearish reversal. In this case, deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement at 121.94, and possibly below.
EUR/AUD Daily Outlook
Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5763; (P) 1.5822; (R1) 1.5902; More...
No change in EUR/AUD's outlook as range trading is still in progress. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. On the upside break of 1.5944 will resume the rise from 1.5559 to 1.6168 first. On the downside, break of 1.5559 will resume the fall from 1.6168 to retest 1.5250/5354 support zone.
In the bigger picture, rise from 1.5354 is seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.5250 low. Further rise cannot be ruled out, but even in that case, strong resistance should be seen at 38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.5250 at 1.6988. Larger down trend from 1.9799 is in favor to extend through 1.5250 at a later stage.
